I made more in WotLK with potion mastery. Sure the profit was small but there was no CD so I could do it all the time.

@ huchkizz, some1 worked out u have 15% chance to proc an extra item. That xtra item has a 15% chance to proc...& so on to max of 5. With that said if the only things u transmute is on the same CD timer its not worth being transmute master. U gotta research AH & determine what else you can make some gold on even a little. By transmuting more often you increase the chance of proc'ing the valuable once a day xmutes. Basically its like roulette and betting on truegold is highest payoff.

Just to update the info some posted here, CD resets @ midnight, even if you transmute @ 11:59 its only a minute till it resets.

@OnlyTechnology ive just got 450 alchy today, i heard if your transumute spec the CD on it goes down, but as of Wrath, the CD is 3 days no 20 hours

I have a transmute mastery alchemist and I hit the X2 proc every 8 or 10 transmutes. I've hit the x5 twice in about 8 months and I do my transmute epic gem every day.

Another solid gold maker can be to get saronite ore, turn it into bars (or bars if they are cheaper) and then transmute into titanium bars. Sometimes you can only make a couple of gold per bar, but sometimes you can make 10-20 gold per bar. And there is no cool down.

i did this when the epic gems just came out and made a killing, what i did was buy xmute cds off alchemists and i was buying a lot per day. made about 7000 g in a week. also had an xmute master proc 5 gems at once for me=p

i´ve been transmute master for a week, and not once it had given me 2 gems -.-

not all xmutes are on a cooldown u have to pick the right thing to transmute lol

I just don't think transmutation mastery is not worth it because of the 10% proc chance combined with the 23 hour cooldown on transmutes. In other specs, proccing is more frequent, and can be just as profitable, depending upon how many potions/elixirs you make.

I am using to transmute Majestic Zircons because in my server them are 160g ea and mats 25g. 20h CD

it also helps to have a miner and jc to get the gems with out any buying of the mats :D

where do u learn to transmute epic gems?

You get more money doing Majestic Zircon. Cheaper mats, gem worth about the same.

Also, transmuting titanium bars is now profitable.

Yeah i figured this trick out about a month or 2 ago. really sweet especially with transmutation master proc
