The full clip showed the distraught guy running up the steps and out the door--making the sequence even more unsettling. Note that without any transition, they immediately cut to the gifts giving segment in order to distract the audience. They reason that they did not cut the segment may have been because they did not have anything to fill that block of time. Can you imagine the poor guy--getting turned down on national TV?
