He means when you downclimbed below the first bolt. Right after you picked your nose.

if you mean when i was at the top then i was daisy chained in and told him to go off belay (i speak softly so you can't hear me) or if it was near the ground i asked him to spot me instead
Tell your belayer to keep you on belay. No more hands up spotting after you clip the first bolt!
