  • Pretty cool man gjob

  • Don't zoom in!

  • i wish my first flight was as good as yours, otherwise i could fly it today

  • how do you take off from the ground I try it it just nosie dives to the ground when I give it throttle

  • @TheAlpha620 you in crease the throttle slowly on a smooth surface.

  • u guys make me sick

  • Theres my school!!

  • I've been drooling over this plane for a couple of months. Always wanted to get into RC, but always saw it as price-prohibitive (for a "toy"). I've flown real planes and soloed when in high school, but college then life came along and I didn't make flying a priority.

This is my favorite video I have seen of this plane. Love the wide-eyed enthusiasm in your voice. Hobbyzone should pay you for this video to market this plane! Well done!

Can't wait for MY first flight!!!

  • haha! My dad was wanting me to throw it to. but i took it off from the ground the first flight, and have been ever since. But that was a while back! I'm flyin a bigstik gas airplane now!

  • something tells me you have flown before

  • Well done mate. Real good plane to learn with. I loved it. Had loads of fun learning to fly. Best plane to learn with IMO. Just watch the birds. They always chased mine.

Tip: keep to higher altitude until you get familiar with controls...... IE.... all controls reversed when flying toward to.

  • why dont take off from the baseball patch ? Lol

  • im new to plane playing. i was thinking this might be a good first plane to buy, does the anti crash thing really work?

  • is this your first ever rc plane? first ever flight? have you practiced with simulator or something?

  • how much flightine with the stock battery?

  • @TrevorKronemann I'd say about 8-12 minutes depending on how hard you're flying...MAYBE 15 at the absolute max....and that's if you didn't really throttle it much at all.

  • Lol gotta love how everybody on there first good flight lands the plane far away when it would be just as easy to land it next to you.

  • Before getting my Super Cub, I watched a lot of videos. This video was one of the ones that helped me decide on the Super Cub. I had my first flight yesterday (my landing wasn't as good as yours) But you were right - it is VERY smooth and easy to fly. Thank You very much!

  • i dont know how good the super cubs are but the minisuper cubs suck, they are durable but the reciever quit on me, and i had a hard time flyin it too i kept crashing. of course it was winter and my fingers were freezing. any way i bought an ember 2 and it flew so well i couldnt believe it, i just took it off and started flying

  • I'm hooked on this plane, can't wait to get it,, how much flyin time do you get out of a batt?

  • Thanks for the video man. I couldn't decide whether to get the mini cub or this one and you explained why it's better for a novice to get the larger wingspan and I hadn't seen that explanation anywhere. Gonna get one this week and can't wait. Happy flying!

  • that was a great video dude! just a little advise, let your lady fly! once you both get into it you don't have to here her mouth about how much you spend on this very addictive hobby. i fly big nitro planes but i always keep one of my cubs in my trunk at all times. you cant beat the durability, simplicity and the fun of the cub. it's for beginners and pros. I'm a nurse and sometimes it helps me to go out on my break and fly the things I've seen away. get the bomb drop mod you'll love it.

  • Heck yeah.

  • Excellent landing!

that field is HUGE you should see where me and my brother first learned to fly in july. youre lucky to have room.

The cubbie is a great plane I LOVE IT

  • I modified my Supercub Lp to carry a 2200 mah 25c battery and i average 23 minutes. good video and nice field.

get bigger wheels and you should be able to negotiate grass landings better.

great open field perfect for the cub!

  • nice flying man. i got the mini super cub from hobbyzone too. its exactly like urs but smaller and doesnt take off from grass since the wheels are small. but i love it too cause its the 1st time im ever able to control the rc plane.

    im a novice too haha

  • Have u let ur girlfriend flu it yeat? Lol

  • Have u let your girlfriend fly it yet? Lol

  • Haha...

    yes I did...for like 3 seconds. :)

  • lol

  • dude...Have one. Bought 2 1/2 years ago. Agree it flies great. Just that someone who's never flown before, will not likely "nail" landings and such on first few flights. And most newbies are too nervous to remember, let alone almost quote, the manual!! :)

  • haha - i kinda see what you mean when you say marketing - he sounds like he's advertising it! haha.

pretty cool vid tho. i just flew mine first time yesterday and it was great! i have the LP version. hopefully gonna fly again today. i need another battery or two tho! :)

  • Oh cool...how do you like the LP?!

I love my Super Cub still and I fly it EVERY DAY! But I'm thinking about getting the LP since it's supposed to last longer and have more power.

Have you compared it to the original Cub like mine?

  • hey. post more vids of your flying!

nope, sorry - this is my first plane (i fly helis usually) so i dont know how good this is compared to the original cub.

what's your flight time on this? i think i can probably get 20mins on the LP but limiting myself to 15mins as i dont want to risk it...

  • 20 MINUTES?! NO WAY! That's awesome!

I only get like 10 with my original Cub...but I still love it! :o)

  • haha - i should be really happy with my LP then! ;-)

so do you have like a couple of batteries then? i'd hate to fly your plane with only one 10min battery!

bad enough already that i only have 1 battery and after 15mins, i have to go home to charge.

  • Yep for sure...

I have 2 battery packs I charge up every time before I hit the field! ;)

By the way, did you find this video from searching YouTube for R/C related things or did you come across it from my SEO Help Videos? Just curious. :)

  • i did a search on supercubs - that's how i came across yours ;-)

  • Ok...It is marketing! I don't think the average Joe will find it quite THAT easy and smooth, but if you have the right place, and right conditions, I think the Super Cub is, and with a few mods, is THE best way for anyone to get into RC flight.

  • I still don't know what you're talking about "marketing', but I can tell you the Super Cub flies GREAT!

I didn't mod it at all - it was straight out of the box.

  • dude.... buy one. i got a mini super cub and it was really about that easy. so, um, get over your marketing suspicion

  • Great vid! But somehow...smells like a marketing thing! If it is, good job! :)

  • Marketing? What do you mean?

R/C airplanes are a great hobby of mine.

  • Nice one! Good vid man!
