  • doesn't batman miss the boy wonder?????

  • candy

  • best song to ever played in a grocery store

  • How did Mandy Moore's people not get sued?

  • @dft309 -- because the same person made both songs -- Swedish guys named Max Martin and Dr. Luke, v. famous producers

  • Yo mo fo that's my fucking van!!!

  • im only here because of SNL...

  • @thegregtastic I'm here because I listened to Robyn when I was a teenager ♥♥

  • Minute 2:31 is special...

  • 14 years later and she's appearing on SNL for the first time... I suppose that's a comeback.

  • @alpiazza I think she was always popular in Europe

  • "What I need is a man who can do me right." Here you see and listen to a Robyn with no control over her career at all whatsoever. I've always thought this song sucked and I'm immensely happy that Robyn distanced herself from this generic r&b/urban kind of music/lyrics.

  • @vadiazinhagenteboa What she's doing now is just as generic imo. I still listen to these songs today, many many years later and sing along although it isn't my "favourite genre of music". Her new stuff though, I don't get at all and I find it very boring. But taste is taste I suppose.

  • @Eumenorrhea I'm not a fan either. I do like Be Mine though. Anyway, I tuned to a 90's radio station and this song came up on it. It intrigued me seeing that Robyn is attributed to it, hence my comments on the predictable, sexually objectifying lyrics. She doesn't write stuff like this anymore, except maybe for Konichiwa bitches, and she experiments with new sounds a lot. While I particularly don't appreciate her music, I certainly enjoy the creative freedom in it.

  • @vadiazinhagenteboa Yea I get what you mean :)

  • @Eumenorrhea I don't know dude, Hang with me is pretty cool and her remake of cobrastyle is different. I don't think you can call her generic when right now dubstep and pop-tech-hiphop-mixups are masters and chief. Then again I thought this song was generic 14 years ago :P

  • @jwy12 Yea so did I. Although I was like... 12 or 13 ish when the song came out. But hey, I'll still sing along to most songs despite of that and am capable of enjoying it anyway :) Suppose these songs just remind me of my early teens and that's what makes her old stuff sorta "special" to me now. Her new stuff doesn't appeal to me but I definitely respect and admire her anyway.

  • @BillyJim1970 You're on an American Computer, most probably, the American internet, with an American operating system, on an american website, watching a music video filmed in America. Don't call a girl ugly while your dick is in her pussy, smart guy. Makes you look stupid.

  • @jazz351974 what it has to do the fact that you're native american?

  • Ok I got a question. Which Robyn song is better: 'Do you know what it takes' or 'Show me Love'?

  • now this is the video i remember watching as a kid, not that shittastic vevo vid

  • Before P!NK there was Robyn.

  • @myfeeling4you Oh my god you have to listen to her new stuff, it's amazing, Her latest album "Body Talk" is fab, so much better than this.

  • I use to love her but her new stuff is crap and so is her style and don't even get me started on her horrible dancing...

  • If=of

  • I can't believe that some if you guys don't know that Robyn is still very relevant today! She recorded THREE albums last year and has sung at multiple Noble Peace Prize

events. She does electronic music now and it's awesome! Wiki her! Google her! She's on tour with Katy Perry right now, matter if fact...

  • Put back up show me love. It's ridiculous, I can't find it anywhere

  • 97 was my year i would play Robyn is here in repeat. Iove her style its always been genuewine for her not a lot girls could have gotten away with it.

  • 97 was my year i would play Robyn is here in repeat

  • i was about 10 years old when this came out. and you know she's only in her 30s now.

i can probably DATE HER now lol!

  • I wonder if she pissed off the people in traffic

  • I remember now !! I used to love this in elementry. I'm 22 now an seen her new stuff an for the Effin life of me couldn't remember why she was familiar

  • Shortly after this time she bowed out.. didn't want to be a label's little puppet pop skank. You f**king know who I'm talking about!

She took some time & is now doin' her own kick ass thing on her own label!!! RESPECT to Robyn! If you haven't check her new stuff.. she deserves more props & attention that the over produced, no talent pop tarts North America keeps spewing! LUV ROBYN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aww i love this song....BUT her newer stuff is way better

  • I loved watching this as a teen cus that dude is HOT!!!!

  • I've said this in her new videos but I'll say it again, I like how she kept her style

  • 39 people don't have what it takes.

  • wait didn't mandy moore have the same kinda melody?

  • @ladikira86 ya she did! never thought of that!!

  • I love this song! and this video is soooo much better than the tragic "original" video made for Europe... The girl's grown as an artist and is still churning out awesome hits 14 years later!

  • i hate to break it to the second highest rated commenter, but... this song was produced by max martin; the producer of britneys debut single.l

  • @tuesdayXXIII I thought they all sounded similar anyways

  • Comment removed

  • tHIS IS A FUCKING CLASSIC

  • The ORIGINAL

  • always thought mandy moore covered this song until I found out mandy sang "candy" which sounds exactly like this song lol smh

  • @tictacc456 I was just about to comment about that!

  • ah, thats good pop music. nostalgic and fun.

  • is this the first music video or the second music video i can't remeber anymore

  • im also there 14 march at the milkyway Amsterdamnn!!!! love to see robyn for the firstt time.

    geweldig.

  • 14-3-2011 Melkweg - Amsterdam !

  • loved robyn she was as good as a genie in a bottle as in aguirela loved this hit with all my heart

  • Is it me or does this song remind you of the song "Candy" from Mandy Moore? Anyways, i love this chick but her new stuff sucks, shes too old to sing this crap now. Leave it to the 17 and under crowd and make some adult music..

  • @Tiff22230 for the longest time I though mandy moore covered this song until I found out they were different haha.

  • @tictacc456 Yeah me too. Robyn was more my sister's time and shes 9 years older than I am. When I first heard it was like a year or two ago and my sister had a cd and I was like "I didnt know you like mandy moore" shes like huh? lmfao

  • She's the diva pop songstress of the 90's and beyond - brilliant, brilliant debut album and "Be Mine" is an all-time pop gem. ROBYN ROCKYN!

  • Man this brings me back to 5th grade...when music was simple

  • This is a great song. First time I have heard it and could tell right away this was late 90s. Great time for music!

  • I got this on a CD as a christmas present. This song really reminds me of Nebraska when I was here in 1998 and quite frankily, I am traveling here and listening to this song YouTube.

  • @judenihal You like saying "Quite frankly" don't you?

  • @NathanWGregg I know. That's what I meant. Google is a fine tool, isn't it?

  • tired of all those faggots sayin how they miss the 90s.. if you miss them so much, go back there.. or learn how to enjoy the present

  • @sycho67ak I'm sorry, but music today is GARBAGE, that is why people say this and quite frankily, I agree with them.

  • @judenihal Im sorry but the same equivalent of this song probably exists today.. its not like this song is far from being garbage itself

  • @judenihal U must only listen to mainstream crap to say this. If you dig further, you'll notice music today is much more varied and excellent than it was.

  • @inasafeplace yea, but your stupid.

  • Robyn is amazing I am glad she is still making music.

  • What a coincidence...just found out Robyn is performing here in Vancouver tomorrow

    Nov.19, 2010.

  • Ahhh, 1997... The year of The Spice Girls, Austin Powers, Michael Jordan, Princess

Diana and Titanic... Man, I wish I was 40 again...

  • @musiclover77able 20 is basically still a teen

  • oh dear lord! i'm 9 or 10 again.

  • HEHE.. I'm 46 living in the NW USA and I crank up the Robyn all the time!!!

    Great talent!!

  • sounds like mandy moore's "candy"

  • @TheRealReasonForDP I was thinking exactly the same thing. I think she may have "borrowed" it.

  • 97 i was 17 so i guess i was a teenie bopper

  • my name's bill

  • wow. great video

  • Reminds me middle school lol

  • the 90's was perfect<33

  • A Swedish RandB singer with a voice thats better than anything out there now. Love her latest album Robyn

  • @Fireleigh HEr latest album was called Body Talk part 2. She did a duet with Snoop Dog on it.

  • look how she's completely covered up, has a good song, is not hypersexual, and actually can sing.............what happened to today's music??

  • YES !!! I have been looking for this girl's music for ever...she was the cooiest white girl singer of the 90's...

  • I think I was 14 when this song came out. Brings me back to high school.

  • Omg this song just takes me back!

  • This sounds so much like that Candy song.

Or perhaps it's the other way around. :P

Being a 90's kid, I love 'em both.

  • @Stump123090 Mandy sound like Robyn lol...

  • I love this song!! It takes me back. I was 18 and so excited to graduate from high school.

  • she's one of the first blue-eye pop/r&b artist in the 90s before the manufacturing of britney spears and all the teeny bands. she didn't need to show off dance moves or cleavage to make good music. it was just the music.

  • @aznballer04

One of the first females, you mean?

Hall and Oates were called "blue-eyed soul" before this girl was even born!

  • @younghoss , i do not mean first artist ever... i meant female in the 90s

  • @aznballer04 dance moves dont make good music...lol nor does cleavage.

  • @Zyrdyl, well yeah. I'm sure many know what I mean.

  • Pink owes Robyn.

Love me some Pink, but Robyn came first.

    Loved this album!

  • Wow I forgot about this video. I love it! :]

  • GOTTA love this song................

  • Dam, I missed the 90s when almost every CD that came out was amazing. They don't make this typw of music.

  • @blachubear i agree eve 6 tonic sublime goo goo dolls fastball

  • @blachubear man music is not the same like it was in the 90's its all fake

  • @blachubear actually, i think her new songs "Dancing on my own" and "Hang with me" are quite 80s, maybe you should try those. i like them

  • @blachubear

lmao. every generation says that when they look back on the past. the 90s had some good music but also featured the most embarrassing period of bubble gum pop tracks

  • @blachubear she has been replaced by bieber. this is 10000000000000000x better. +1

  • LOL.......I remember meeting a girl from America Online and jamming this song as we drove to a motel room for a sex session......good memories from the 90's

  • Wow, I remember this. Great track!

  • @musiclover77able I totally agree and I was way older than 20 and loved it, LOL! Saw her on tv last night after years of not seeing her, she was GREAT!

  • (T-T) I don't like it so much. I preffer the other Robyn who does electro. Well, Thank you so much to clear my surprise. Cool day

  • @lasarous oh yea that is to Robyn!! I loved this song as a kid! This and Show Me Love. Great memories.

  • She's not Robyn!!! She's only a woman with the same haircut as her. The real Robyn represents electro-house, not crap like this.

  • @lasarous

It's the same person .. she just changed her musical style a lot following this album (thank god for that)

  • this sounds so much like candy ..... i dont know what came first.. but sounds alot like

  • that guy in the video is HOT!!!!

  • Great Song! Brings back memories!

  • This song gives me chills... still so great... that beat, damn.

  • People say britney was the first pop princess. ROBYN WAS BEFORE HER TIME! And she had hit singles.

  • she reminds me of ellen

  • 2:53 wow sound

  • mmmmmmm

  • she's got a little rhythm dont she?!

  • I know what it takes.. and I also had a van just like that one.

  • i love u robyn

  • LOVE THE SONG!

    HATE THE VIDEO!

THE OTHER VERSION OF THIS MUSIC VIDEO'S BETTER!

  • i thought robyn was annoying when i was a youngster but this is a good song

  • Seeing this video again really makes me want that red and white chair.

  • Good song!, Robyn makes good music.

  • i love robyn

  • GREAT SONG!

  • Was this music video filmed in Hollywood?

  • "do you know (what it takes) to love me? Do y'know (what it takes) to do me rrright?" .... (sigh) ... No...sorry.

  • This song is awesome! Robyn had and still has talent. This song sounds like Mandy Moore's song "Candy."

  • Who is the poser around 1:42? He looks kind of sexy...

  • Old school.. playing this for my daughters now! LOL now they can have it stuck in their heads for the next 10 years lol!

  • I heard this song on a local radio station that only plays 90s music; I had to look it up again! cool song

  • Well, now we know where Avril Lavigne got the idea for her Sk8tr Boy video...

  • If this song would've dropped in the summer of '98 instead of '97...Robyn would've been as big as Brittany here in the states. It's still a great song from a talented artist.

  • OMG she reminds me of mandy moore back then and her music sounds just like her music mandy is a copy cat ALL THE WAAAAAAY

  • Sorry VH1 ,but 1997 was the best year ever. backstreet boys, spice girl lollipops, nano babies, the return of mood rings and bell bottoms, and Robyn.

  • @startacommotion AMEN!!
