  • Word of caution. Great book, but you may not be able to use many of the ideas in a normal playing situation. By the way excellent video. You nailed it!

  • @webstercat actually it really depends on the type of music I'm playing. I don't use anything when I'm playing rock. But I use a lot of it if I'm on a jazz gig. If you go to itunes, you can hear a real difference in my drumming between my first and second album (I worked on this stuff in-between). Also, I just learned the stuff because it is fun! :) Thanks for the comment.

  • The book is great! I started reading through it after working through the Garry Cheffe books. If you havent yet, Id recommend going through time functioning patterns and Sticking patterns before going to the unreal Drum book.

    One thing that is really good about the unreal drum book is that there is a slow midi version of each track. It forced me to play slow and develop the control needed to play them fast. Good luck with the book. Let me know how it goes.
