In America, people buy BAPE because of their exclusivity & imported retail price. Famous people in general liked it for that reason. The only ones who are able to comprehend the label's true intent are the Japanese (of course), Pharrell, Kanye and some other loyal fans throughout the world. t-shirts are $100-150, sweaters $200-300.... that's higher end but it's not top-end. Gucci or Dior Homme or DSQuared for the same item will cost 2-4x as much.

With all the BAPE in circulation, the new official Pirate Stores, and the easier access to BBC -- they're not nearly as expensive or rare as they were 2-3 years ago.
