Tips for area:

-In the 3rd room(where Curly wakes up)there are two hearts on the bottom right.You can pick them up,go back up in the previous room,back down and they respawn!

-TAKE YOUR FUCKING TIME

-For the Heavy Press you want to stay between the point where his lighting attack strikes and attack the Butes for hearts(you get no heals for the final boss so you want to enter with as much health as possible.Once you fill up go ahead and attack it.

@MasterF998 Ballos:He has 4 forms(technically 3).

1st form:He does a rectangular pattern that is easy to avoid,after around 4 times he will rise up from the ground and shoot lightnings at you.DO NOT TRY TO SHOOT HIM you will get your ass handed to you.You see targets so its not so bad with some booster skillz.After that we are back to the first pattern.

Then he goes up to the sky.DO NOT RELAX! soon you will see a target like the lightning ones.Avoid it and let the 2nd form start!

@MasterF998 A BALL-os comes down to rape you.He jumps around and after ~5 jumps he stops for a little while.That is when you hit him,but do not get fooled and try hitting him before he stops because you will get out of the pattern and probably get crashed.Use the Spur or Curly's Nemesis(possibly Blade)To avoid him,when he jumps towards you use booster and repeat.After you beat that form,he literally grows balls and starts moving like the roller things from earlier in the level.

@MasterF998 While up he shoots skulls at you vertically which can be pretty hard to see with all these shit on the screen,but are really easy to avoid with clear sight.You need to shoot all of the balls surrounding him to let the 4th phase start.His face becomes only creepier and butes will come from the sides.Spikes start rising from the ground so what do you do?You get on the platforms he kindly made for you!Now,there are two ways you can do this:The normal way and the cheap way.

@MasterF998 Normal way is to stay up and shoot the balls for them to fall down so they open up access to his face.Simple.The cheap way is to stay on the ground when the spikes rise and using the Invincibility frame get up to his eye,with the level 3 missile launcher equipped,melt that X button,or 1 or whatever.He should be down in about 1.5 seconds.

I have beat him 2 times,one with Snake,other with Spur.Level is designed for the Snake to be quite affective going through walls.

@BlackOscuros Oh that me is ssooo two weeks ago; now I play that level for fun and have defeated Ballos like 3 times. 2 of those withOUT the help of the Life Pot. That place is still evil, but it's far less frustrating to me now, and Ballos is no longer that difficult to me.

@BlackOscuros I can simply beat Ballos' 1st and 2nd form, but during the 3rd form I find it hard staying on the spinning platforms without accidentally jumping off when I'm about to use my Spur.

@Doolotoory Don't use the spur on form 3, only on the first two forms. Hit form 3 rapid fire with all your missiles, then pound him hard and fast with the lvl2 blade or the nemesis

So yeah, I did all of the steps required to get to the good ending, well at least I thought so, and I went on to defeat the bosses on the balcony and won.. only to discover that I forgot to talk to curly a second time after the memory thingy (said in this way to avoid giving away spoilers). I saved at a point in which I couldn't return and do that... so now I have to do the whole game all over again D: Not too bad though, seeing as I love Cave Story.

@AgainstTheWicked It looks pretty. It is easier in the way that you get more health upgrades. Some minor details here and there are changed (mostly the text from the fandub such as Balrog saying "OH YEAH" instead of "Huzzah!"). And once you've cleared it you get a time trial mode to get straight to the bonus level of hell.

Now this is more like it. It's upsetting to me, though, that this song is so awesome, and yet (from what I remember, anyway) it takes place before this game's version of the Final Battle, which, as I said on it's respective video, sounds kind of underwhelming when compared to some of this game's other arrangements. Oh well. At least the final level theme is awesome.

I got Cave Story 3D on Christmas and beat the next day.They added more parts and a new item called "Prinny Cap".I think if you wear it and beat Hell you can play the game again as a Prinny dressed like Quote.I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to.
