  • What the song name in the beginning?

  • Hearing Keith Green today makes we want to cry, because of the anointing, as much today as it did when I first heard him in 1981. I never got to see him in person. He was a church prophet as well as a gifted musician and songwriter. I was a subscriber to his Last Days Newsletter in 1982-83. I miss him a great deal.

  • I saw Keith at the Ebell Theater in Long Beach, California in 1975. I'll never forget that evening. Keith was so on fire for the Lord and his music and preaching was unbelievably anointed and powerful. What a force for the Lord he was. His death was a shock to all but I am so glad he loved the Lord as now we know we'll see him again! Thank you for posting this beautiful video. Keith's music and his ministry lives on! ~0;-)

  • God called him and he obeyed.

  • Thank you for posting this. Keith is one of my all time fav singers (him and Bryan Duncan). Keith's was the first Christian rock I had heard....I have never seen this before. God bless you

  • WRONG! The Jewish People do NOT believe Jesus was a good rabbi. That is a common misconception and only found among Jews ignorant of their Torah. I am enjoying this documentary and enjoyed Keith's music during my christian phase but would like to clear up this misconception.

  • is this open for posts?

  • When I was in my mid 20s I stayed at a human nutrition unit with several other young men as part of a live-in university study on dairy lipids. Almost all the guys happened to be Christian, and we became the Grandmasters. This involved various capers and writings about what it is to be a Grandmaster of the Funk. The funk is like the Force, only funkier. The original Grandmaster was Keith Green, known simply as Grandmaster Keith. He was our Obi-Wan, our Yoda, from whom we drew our inspiration.

  • We truly need Keith Green today.

  • lol thzat is alot of hair

  • Thank you, that was awesome. I have always loved Keith Greens music, his music has passion, and very impactful. God bless!!!

  • See NWO Solution

  • I am going to pray for you Trixie. God is calling you and you don't realize it yet. You will but in the mean time....I will pray for you. God Bless

  • No one could bring you to God or convict you to live different with a song like Keith Green.

  • AWESOME! Wait til my dad sees this. He really likes this guy.

  • THANK TOU JESUS!

  • 216trixie haha sorry but the brain washing has just begun, you think that believeing something that has a good afterlife is brainwash or think wow how could you believe? well look in your heart and what comes in your afterlife just dark spaces? or nothing? well i like my odds of believeing in god and poss getting to have an amazing afterlife. so when you are watching keith green's story just remember see that smile on his face? now go look in the mirror. God Bless

  • who's doin the narration?

  • Toby Mac from DC Talk or you might know him as a solo arist too

  • Reading No Compromise right now (about halfway through!) and it's an awesome book and an amazing testimony. This film will be a treat! It will go along with the book well I'm sure. :)

  • Keith Green was a musical genius. What an example he was.

  • Keith Green's music has always inspired me. Just want to point out also that he was a Jewish believer; and this was before the Messianic Jewish movement really took off.

Baruch ha Shem! (Bless His Name!)

  • Yes, Awsome!

  • That amazing talent, wasted on the bloody genocidal philosophy of human sacrifice.

  • Oh what should he then had spend it for the atheistic world? More like the religion of death. Praise God for a life not wasted.

  • Atheism is not a religion. I just dont believe in gods.....The bible, which Keith unfortunately sang about, is the book filled with horror and genocide.

  • Now is it man or God's fault? Isn't man the one disturbing the peace by murdering, lying, raping, stealing, kidnapping? The Bible is a book written by the inspiration of God about man and God. How man fell and sinned and kept sinning untill now. And how the Lord acted towards our doings and reconciled the world to Him by His Son so we sinful God hating man like you and I would have a changed heart that would no longer desire to do evil like lying, stealing, hating, killing, deceiving, etc

  • if we repent from all this things and put our trust in Jesus Christ alone to save us we would obtain eternal life and the World would be at peace ... but now who loves righteousness who seeks God? You see is not because of the things written in the Bible that you have a problem with it's a lust/ desire for sin that keeps you from God. You love your sin too much to give it up.

  • A. There is no such thing as sin..B. What you must be referring to are things like rampant sex, drunkenness, thievery and the like.....How freaking rude of you to accuse me of behaviors you are only imagining....The idea that atheists "love their sin too much to give it up," is an old, untrue christian myth...You only use it to try and make all the scrambled up doctrines you think you believe , make some kind of sense.

  • Much of Christianity is just scrambled doctrine.

I can agree. Christianity has become a mess.

But the Christianity that Keith Green believed had doctrine that made sense.

Christianity, is a whole lot more than "Jesus loves you!" If it's explained correctly, it makes perfect sense.

Message me if you'd like to know what I believe.

    God Bless!

  • Message me if you can provide an explanation for atonement. The scapegoat. The innocent taking the sins of the guilty. It is sick and immoral.

  • An atonement is a costly requirement as a suitable SUBSTITUTE for punishment. Can you think of a better substitute for punishment to reconcile the rebel back to God's favor? If God didn't support his moral authority as governor, that wouldn't be very beneficial to the whole universe now would it? Either bloody costly sacrifice, or rewarding anarchy. Perhaps you can do a better job than God WITHOUT having to removing man's free will? Hmmm?

  • Repeat it all enough until you believe it even until your atheism makes sense to you. If you are unwilling to repent and recognize God's right of ownership and to rule over your heart and life, God will still acquire glory from YOUR life, either by your immediate repentance, OR by your eternal torment. Hope you bought some one million sun block for your long trip that you worked so hard for! It's an 'Atheist' bar-b-que, and guess who the main course is? I hear it'll be a HELL of a time!

  • Typical miserable convicted former churcher, misrepresenting God's love, goodness, mercy and perfection.

Somehow I doubt that you surrendered all your rights to God and actually loved God unconditionally in true conversion. You were either a counterfeit convert, or if you are a backslider, you are in danger of becoming reprobate in your conscience. I urge you to come back to God before the Spirit leaves you in your sins and misery permanently. Next stop, weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth.

  • dude u r the man

  • You believe in humanism, which is a religion. Whats sad is you don't even know what your talking about. Study theology then you'll understand these "Genocides and horrors" which you speak about.

  • No, I don't believe in humanism, or anything. And as a former Bible major at Biola University, youth pastor, street evangelist and worship leader I have studied the nasty Bible extensively. It is only now, free of the brainwashing, that the plain , simple, unambigous verses that show Jehovah as a childish, petulant, evil sadistic killer , are obvious.

And in no need of further explanation...You , rather, owe an explanation to the world for your support of rape, kidnapping, and genocide.

  • And you read Stephen King or Lord of the Rings just to pass the time, right?

  • Saved out of Hollywood. It can happen, folks. Keep praying!

There just something about being sung to that makes a sermon personal and life-changing.

  • Thank you! My boys are third generation fans, and I will always have a place on my mp3 player for him!

  • I really appreciate you bringing Keith's story to the forefront once again. I love his music and have since I was a child. I was 8 when he died and remember my mom's sadness. I just think that he got his ultimate desire, to be with Christ. A plus is that he'll get to see his family again soon. :)

  • Love you Randy. I would also describe Keith almost like a force of nature as well. Thank you for posting this.

  • The book that Melody wrote was amazing

  • Comment removed

  • awesome

  • If you look up the title online it says that is narrated by Toby Mac.

  • Keith Green was the man. i love all of his music!! yeh that commentary voice does sound like Toby Mac.

  • It sure is Toby Mac.

  • monum: Is that Toby Mac(formerly of DCTalk) who is doing the narrating on this? Sure sounds like his voice.

Keith had a big impact on my young life&I still enjoy his music today. He had really found something when he wrote "Grace By Which I Stand".

    Thanks for the postings!

What Providence that he came from Christian Science background&Randy Stonehill did too!

Larry Norman, who recently went to heaven(2/08)had led Stonehill to the Lord who in turn talked to Keith...Larry witnessed also.

  • One of the most intense spiritual moments I've had to date with Jesus happened at the end of the runway his plane crashed on.

  • keith green es un ejemplo de lo que deveria ser cada cristiano su pasiòn por la obra de jesucristo es muy motivante sus canciones han sido una tremenda bendiciòn en mi vida

gracias por este video Dios les bendiga

  • Can someone verify for me that Keiths father whom taught at El Camino Real High School, had the name of Harvey? Its amazing how in 1985 I had a Drivers Ed teacher named Mr Green whom spoke fondly of his son who passed at a young age. I never heard of Keith Green until a Jew for Jesus girlfriend got me hooked on his music. My old roommate use to move Keiths piano back in the 70's in West Hills/Canoga Park. I read No Compromise and found that we both loved Yosemite, ran away to Bellingham, Wa.

  • Well that's a good story.

  • i love his song in the background..

  • Love all your videos.

  • who sand the songs in this clip?

  • well this is the lifestory of Keith Green who was a singer... so who do you think? ;)

  • im sorry i didnt know. i thought he waqs just a preacher. ive since downloaded an album of his

  • @monum snaaaaaaaarrrky ;o)

  • @monum Justin Bieber?

  • they are all original Keith songs.

  • @morelly ... um... Keith Green sang them

  • I found this entire biography on DVD at my local library. It is so inspiring. My favorite part is when we see Keith's grave and beautiful memorial site. I wept a great deal. I remember the night Keith was taken from us. He was a great brother. I remember getting his cassette tape "So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt?" through the mail for free. I have since given it away, and want a new copy of it on CD. Thanx for the great videos.

  • Wow.

  • tobymac is reading this... or talking or whatever.

  • Translation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Legends.......

  • how did he die?

  • I believe if you watch the whole thing you would find out...

But it was a planecrash with his 2 eldest children and a befriended family.

  • I am so happy to find this and plan on watching every single one. Keith's music led me to Christ. I will love him & be grateful to his effect on my life always!

  • We need more servvants of God like this brother.

  • He rocked!

  • He rocks even more now! ;)

  • I still can't believe it was so long ago. Really, when I think about him, it just seems like yesterday that the plane went down.

May I be worthy to meet him one day.

  • Of course we will meet Him if Christ has us and it sounds like you know God loves you. We are all unworthy but Christ has made us worthy by His blood and of course we will meet him if we have trusted in Christ. I left my testimony on my channel called "Repentance, what it really is " if anyone is interested or needs assurance of God's salvation for us . Its important that believers know for sure that God has saved them and not our efforts. God bless everyone here!

  • This is so great to watch.

I'm more than half way through reading No Compromise (AGAIN for the 3rd time)..but i've never finished the ending. I will finish it this time for sure. I love it even more than the first 2 times i've read it.

  • AWESOME! Thank you so much!

  • Great videos. Keith's music and ministry was an important part of my early years as a Christian. His music style was so refreshing to me as a new Christian as I was really into the rock music scene. I also appreciated Keith's message. It was needed then and it is certainly needed now. I also attended his memorial service.

I haven't really kept up with their ministry since Keith's death. Seeing these videos of Keith and Melody brought back some wonderful memories and some tears. Thanks.

  • a young man WITH A TRUE HEART AFTER GOD. ... O how we need more like this today !

  • Miss this guy, what a blessing !

  • I want to learn of his musical training. I hope this gets into that.

  • LEGEND

  • and people are so overloaded these days (work, e-mail, traffic, life in general)

  • lockmanship, believes men are superior to women, from what i gather. i believe in equality between men and women, apparently he did not like that, and left a smart ass comment on my channel, i tried to respond but he blocked me darn!

  • Brother, nevermind that. What is God's heart toward us? If you want to die on that political shelf, then yeah.... do that. But seek God's heart, and listen to what he has to say. He's crying out to you, my son come back to me. Nevermind the Religious right, or conservative christianity. Just seek God. Just give up yourself and listen to the God who will never give up on you.

  • thanks! yes you are right, amen to that!

  • the original jesus hippie!

  • if keith was here today , he would have a message of love and peace that transcends all religions, a true spititual teacher

  • Thanks for sharing his life with us. I loved and love his music. I'm so glad he didn't fallow the path of Elton. Keith's music turns me back, to seek the Kingdom, he is one that had a heart after God.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this! I still miss him.

Keith knew how to keep it real. His passion and zeal still serve as a standard.

His message was pure Gospel. And that was his only agenda.

  • Awesome documentary. Never would have guessed Keith Green's teenage years would be so similar to my brother's. Anyway, thanks for the great vid.

  • Keith Green: a champion for Jesus, ... and a true young prophet in his day, ... The Last Days.

  • I urge everyone who is disillusioned about the Christian walk, and think there is on one who can live this life, to watch every one of these video's in this series. It will bless you. I alwasys knew his music was anointed, but now I know a yield life will produce a strong anointing.

  • Best Keith Green life video I've seen yet. Keith had a major impact on my Christian walk. His music stills takes me straight into the presence of God each time I put one of his songs on...

  • Keith Green impacted my life more than any other. His music continues to touch me. I stood up and reaffirmed my faith at a Keith Green Concert in Sydney in the early late 70's - early 80's.

  • He seems like he was sweet man, but what a shame that he got so wrapped up in this cult. :-(

I can only hope those who are in this cult can find peace and hope. . .

  • Cult? Have you watched all 7 video's? Or read his biography? I'll bet you'll think different after that ;)

  • Wow...maybe you should listen to the very end of this video...Jesus Christ is the only way to true peace... Cults are not peaaceful. My life was deeply affected by his ministry as I was introduced to it as a child. I was 12 when he was killed but I remember and cherish his music like he came out yesterday.

  • what are you talking about ?

  • @jkevinking this was no cult. This was the lord

  • @jkevinking

    Cult?

Curious that you consider a personal relationship a cult. Need you be reminded that Christianity is a World Religion. Cult means a Group it just so happens that this group has lasted 2000 years and is lead by The only person who ever laid down his own life and took it back up

  • @jkevinking this "cult," also known as Christianity offers peace and hope to all people. Trust me, I would know, I am a Christian. =)

  • I remember exactly where I was when I heard of his tragic death. I pulled over to the side of the road and cried so hard. He was INTENSE. His impact on my life spiritually and musically was BIG. The Lord has raised up SO MANY others to step in.

  • I ran the sound for Kieth at one of his concerts, and his wife Melody helped me. 1976 i believe. God blessed them both

  • Great footage of Keith. Thanks for sharing, his music meant a lot to me when I was growing up and continues to penetrate my heart when I listen to it today.

  • Very nice video, but the voice sounded very... like it was done on a home computer with a bad voice actor.

Good work though :) Love Keith Green

  • The voice sounds fine, that is not important. The message is what's important. Not how pretty you can make it.

  • If the way it's presented distracts you from the message it does matter.

On a side note he seemed to be more of a hippie than I thought.

  • Praise God For That!

  • The opening song is one of the best songs EVER written. Keith was an amazing talent. He's very happy now

  • Thank you for sharing this. I didn't know this even existed! Can't wait to watch the entire thing.

  • Thanks for posting this video, I remember riding as a child in my dad`s car listening to KG!then on ny last trip to Brazil, one of my friends there had the dvd w/ his story, but i didnt have enough time to watch it all...Thanks once again!Let`s share the blessings brought on by this video with everybody!

  • cool.. good old keith green.. he was a zealous christian and great example for all christians to follow

  • Oh by the way.I love you all.Even if we have different thoughts,I still respect you all.

  • thnx man, appreciate it :)

  • My eyes are dry

    My faith is old

    My heart is hard

    My prayers are cold

And I know how I ought to be

Alive to You and dead to me. Keith Green died at age 28 in a plane crash but oh how he lived. He had a heart for God that can only be compared to King David's. But what can be done

For an old heart like mine

    Soften it up

    With oil and wine

  • Sure...

Christians testify to their victories; atheists impose their frustrations...

  • I find it interesting that so many people who claim they don't believe, spend so much time on the Internet try to convince others not to believe.

    I guess that's the Anti-Great Commission.

  • The phrase "A free thinking Christian" is an oxymoron

  • Mofonator8000, I think you're correct to an extent. To be a Christian (a follower of and believer in Jesus Christ as both Savior and Master (or Lord)) is to surrender one's life and one's will to Jesus, just as Jesus surrendered his own life will to God. Christians believe that one of the many "spiritual gifts" given by God to those who believe and rely on Jesus is the "mind of Christ": a personal revelation of Christ's will (or plan) for the individual's life borne out of relationship with Him.

  • Where your logic falters is asserting that Christians have lost the ability to think freely. They retain the ability as all men do; however, there is a constant, internal struggle between the re-born Divine nature (spirit) and their physical nature (flesh). Paul, who slayed Christians until he was accosted by Jesus, described this struggle as "trench warfare." Christians are just as free to think and act as all men, but they have the choice, by faith, to please God instead of themselves.

  • Mofonator8000, your blabbering and vicious attacks aren't going to get you anywhere here. I think the real question is; are people like you afraid that there is a God that you'll have to answer to one day? Atheism says "nothing" produces "everything"... now that's smart eh? You will answer to your creator.. who is either "nothing" or "God"

  • Sorry if you think I am blabbering but don't you find it important to be chalenged about what you think...maybe you don't,you obviously haven't been a free thinker in your life.Continue to follow someone else little sheep.

  • You shouldn't assume you know what someone has been in their life from only a couple sentences. I certainly don't consider your comments a challenge (not yet at least) if that's what you mean... People aren't born Christians. We come from all over, and discover the truth of Jesus, then make the best decision of putting our trust in Him. And yes, I will continue following Jesus thank you.

  • Have you ever considered... that the bible could be true, and Jesus is God. Is it worth even looking at seriously... or would that be too much a challenge for you? *snicker* *snicker* yes, yes take a serious look. How hilarious is that!? I know, I know... you have too many temporary things on your agenda than to fool around with something that could decide where you'd spend eternity (if we continue existance right?)

  • None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

    - Goethe

  • It may be the devil, or it may be the Lord...but you're gonna have to serve somebody.

    - Bob Dylan

  • amen

  • Hey you ignorant idiots,God does not exist stop wasting your lives believing in a fairy tale.Open your minds and become free thinkers.

  • Hey Mofonator8000, interesting comment. How do you know God doesn't exist? And what makes you think all christians are not free thinkers?

  • How can you be a free thinker if your life is dictated by a book someone wrote a thousand years ago.Sorry about the "ignorant idiots" comment I shouldn't have said that ,but I really wish everybody gets a chance to know the truth.Don't be afraid of a life without god ,I know he brings comfort and hope but these are false.Open up your minds and think by yourselves.

  • Well, there's an interesting concept: truth, what is truth? How can you tell what is truth? Is truth universal or just personal? And if it is universal, who makes up the rules by telling it is the truth? ;)

And my question still stands, how can you be sure there is not a God? What is your reasoning? I'm interested :)

  • Mofonator; I think you do know God does exist because you wouldnt have said "think for yourself". Who here isnt really thinking for themself. JESUS LIVES!

  • I'm not going to jump on the wagon here and bash you like everyone else has done. I just want you to consider one thing: In this argument, one of us is right, and one of us is wrong. I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, or vice versa. Just consider this. I'd rather err on the side of God than on the side of nothing.

  • If that comforts you.

  • It doesn't "comfort" me. It secures and assures me. Best of luck to you.

  • Ok for someone who needs to be secured and assured...I guess.

  • People look for security in many things. But one day those things will be gone and you will be too. Jesus offers a security no person or thing can give you.

  • Hm, also, the Holy Bible is a library of Books written in different periods of time by people of different back grounds. There was no plan created to form it. It is all by the grace of God as God moved these authors to write His word.

  • There is no greater "free" thinker than God.

  • A great musician and a great Christian. I still cry at some of his songs and I still am convicted during some of his songs. Last Days Ministries was important in my spiritual formation in my youth. Keith has blessed many, and that includes me. THANKS.

  • hey ... yeah! found it and watched it !!! thanks a lot! also is there some place where i can see the whole thing in one go? also do you have other documentaries of other singers, song writers? it would great if you could share 'em with us... thanks once again!

  • hey Monum! thanks you so much for this! ... could you please post the rest of the VDOs for us! he's been such a blessing in my life, with all the little i could get my hands on to ... thanks Monum!

  • well, all 7 parts are here on YouTube. Enjoy :)

  • Hydewood Park Baptist in North Plainfield

  • Thanks for posting these vids. 1979 (I think) Northeastern Bible College. Keith did a concert. God showed up. My life changed.

  • My youth group went to that concert - but I couldn't go - I thought I'd have another chance to see him in concert someday. His music has always been an important part of my life and I never thought to look him up on youtube till my husband got the idea!

    Kathy

  • What was your youth group? NJ? I assume so from your sig.

  • Awesome... Inspiration!

  • Thank you so much!! Keith's music had a huge impact on my walk with Christ back in the 70's. This series should be in the hands of all Christian artists and aspiring artists.

  • So true!!!!
