  • wow what a voice, would have loved to have seen him in concert in his prime

  • Before the Beatles, the Four Seasons were my favorite group. How many groups could sing,"No woman's worth crawling on the earth, so walk like a man my son" and get away with it?

  • Sure, listen to the records if you haven't heard them. The Four Seasons (and other great early 60s groups like the Beatles and the Beach Boys) often got their signature recorded sound by doubling the vocals in the studio. Listen to the records first-those are what we heard and loved on the radio.

This lo-fi tv clip shows that the Four Seasons - like those other 2 supergroups- could do justice to the vocals live. Not all artists could;/can- then or now. It also shows you they had The Songs.

  • @GuiitarBilly 1 the beatles are the number 1 band

  • @lennon4567 Of course the Beatles are great,. They changed everything and are a favorite band for sure.

I posted about the Four Seasons, a fine early-mid 60s pop group with good songs and strong vocals,. They were never the Beatles but they were certainly the Four Seasons

  • <3 *SWOONS OVER FRANKIE VALLI*

  • If you want to hear these (and other great acts of that era) at their best, listen to them on vinyl. Trust me, these sites bring back the memories or capture the imagination, but if you like the sound of them via digital, then analogue will truly blow your mind!

  • Saw "Jersey Boys" yesterday and it was incredible! I knew and loved their music from my younger days.

  • what an insight Jersey Boys gives to the lives of the Four Seasons........I always loved their songs but after seeing the musical, I am captivated.....what a story!

  • i know these guys personally

  • Lady Gaga and Frankie Valli should have a baby together.

  • they didnt do any of the Jersey boy moves then,,,,just stood and played guitars

  • Play their cd all the time. IThis was my era, and what a time we had.Thank you for uploading

  • I did

  • i was in love with frankie valli when i was like 5. i saw the old videos of him on tv from when he was younger (like he is here). my mom took me to his concert when i was really little and i got all decked out in my blue party dress and shiny shoes. when he came on stage i said, "mom who is that old guy?" and she said "that's HIM, honey!" ...i instantly became hysterical and started crying and had to be taken home.

  • I like how Frankie does the introduction. I'd recognize that voice anywhere. *g*

  • Love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Check out my remix on Youtube.

Big Girl's Don't Cry (Get Low! Remix)

  • Im a 13 year old guy and i think these older generation songs are by far a lot better than the stupid poser, autotuned, crappy music i hear on the radio every single day. I wish it would just stop

  • @lilpimp467

im 17 and dont give a shit how old you are, why do think you deserve credit for liking different music nobody cares. theres no right or wrong music

  • @dunvert i guess people just like my comment because "they dont care" and you need to stop going to older generation music videos just to talk shit and be a hater. GET A LIFE! go suck a dick since im sure thats what youre used to doing...

  • @lilpimp467 You are smart for a 13 year old. Please contibue to be that way. I too wish today's crappy music would stop and just go away, never to be heard again.

  • Frankie and $ Seasons......Awesome. Unequalled. Thank you!

  • I AM PROUD TO BE A 14 YEARR OLDD GIRL WHO ABSOLUTELY ADORES FRANKIE VALLI!! :D <3

  • @shnnnmrphy ME TOOOO

  • I used to think Freddie Mercury was the best vocalist, but now I'm having second thoughts.

  • They don't have singers like this on x-craptor!

  • absolutely love this music. my friends think im weird lol. wish i was 23 in those days.

  • Saw him tonight at Universal Studios. He has a great voice but no charisma or stage presence whatsoever. I would give him the benefit of old age until I saw this video and he was exactly the same wooden statue 35 years earlier.

  • Great times they were

  • Who saw Jersey Boys than automatically searched on youtube

  • @Theironlotus69 That would be me! Saw Jersey Boys this week and here I am looking up these guys. Can't say I even liked them that much till I saw jersey boys. Lots of good memories !

  • @Theironlotus69

    THEN THEN THEN

  • @Theironlotus69

lol i haven't seen it yet but plan to in next few weeks!

  • I envy hes voice<3

  • hey bernie thanks!

  • Allegedly - that's the word. Never proven. The gov. of New York when 911 hit was the BEST govenor to be in NY but when he ran for pres. he was knocked out. I think a LOT of people THOUGHT he was mixed with the mob BUT did anyone know he actually got the R.I.C.A. put into place. Just because we are italian does not make us tied to the Mafia. As far as one night stands. Most of the musicians today and from the past were very popular and yes, I suppose there were one night stands. FROM ALL

  • the group was involved with 'mafia' allegedly. it was never proven but the italian family had links with everyone they knew...It is not about where a person resides but the lifestyle they led..I still love frankie valli but im not an ignorant person.Ignorance breeds contempt...

  • Endlessly entertaining ... wish thy recorded more live stuff back then. Frankie's voice is flawless.

  • See that's the problem with all music. People are always looking at where a person comes from. Sometimes you have to do things to survive. It's about the beautiful music that was made by these guys. If they can touch a ghetto child born and raised like myself that's all that matters!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant....

  • Ahh! Saw it today in San Antonio! jersey boys was spectacular!

  • I kinda exaggerated there and was a bit of a dick, but still.

  • But, weren't they just a bunch of business people, kinda more insterested in making money?

  • @argentino39 before they where a band thee of them tride to rob a jewlery store

  • @stongbad101 Yeah, they were some next mafia mafackas. I saw The Jersey Boys play with my music class this year, and, they showed/talked about sexuality and mafia stuff, and they're fuckin praised by parents (also teachers!) in comparison to some Hip-hop that does the same thing, even tho it can be worse.

To sum it up, the play is about Mob-related mishaps, breaking the law, having sex as one night stands, and, most of all, they treat music like a business, which it's not, despite fuckin labels

  • A great geroup!

  • It's COOLER when the the b'way singers sing it????? are you insane.

  • I just wrote an appreciation of The Four Seasons in my Forbes magazine blog called The Culture Mulcher. I consider the band one of the most underrated of all time. Check out the blog--apparently I can't give the URL here, so just Google "The Culture Mulcher" at Forbes.

  • its cooler when jersy boys sing it

  • I was born long after Frankie was wowing crowds and only saw jersey boys the musical a month or two ago and ive listened to the Album over 20 times. I actually get sad when it finishes =( Truly is a legend.

  • The very BEST!!!!!!!!! Phyllis

  • Mika n'est pas de taille face à lui lol ^^

  • My grandad used to sing this to my nan awww :) xxx

  • amazing voice live, didn't need the help of technology to enhance it.

  • @hfield07 plus microphones wheren't as good back then!! he's a real singer

  • I love this song to death!

Big girls don't cry... they just dry your tears. And mop up behind you.

  • Genius idea of using the ridiculous fake falsetto. Frankie Valli I worship you.

  • wot a good mixture of music

  • Fantastic!

  • i loooooooooooooooooooooooooooe this one

  • Guys Frankie Valli has the best tenor voice of everyone.

  • Saw them at the Steel Pier in 67 or 68. Those years are a blur. Better Atlantic City memories is the Pop Festival in 1969. Lots of blood sucking insects. Good music. Friends had to literally drag me out of the ocean . . . was in for about five hours . . . crazy times back then. A little something called STP. Now, that was living in the fast lane. Definitely not a sloe pitch.

  • Kiedyś to były czasy;) Niezapomniane! Cudo

  • 0:43 always cracks me up!

  • I write any sheet music

  • a realy great oldie

  • King DIamond anyone?? SO SIMILAR RIGHT

    watch?v=2H2-iZEY_xY&feature=related

  • All-Time Greatest Singing Group

  • love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i prefer the drum n bass versions

  • screw fergie this is what i was looking for

  • rusty deserved to be whacked.

  • The Four Seasons kept making hits even when the British invasion was in full force. One in particular, Marlena, isn't on YouTube and that is too bad. It shows the full range of Frankie Valli's beautiful voice.

  • I loved all this era of music. Especially the 50's through to the mid 60's. I was born too late to enjoy it in the moment. Songs we will love forever! Thanks Benj..for posting.

  • When i was little my dad would sing this to me all the time!

  • please, whats name of the all songs? one for one?? thank you!!

  • Don't be a jerk. Just answer the lady's question.

  • You quit coddling lazy asses and show some intelligence. The answer was here on this page in plain sight.

Too many people wan't everything spoon-fed to them, when they need to be told to get with it and find out on their own.

  • Well said, but you're still a jerk.

  • "Wan't"

Hopefully for your sake intelligence isn't shown by using proper English. Perhaps someone should spoon-feed you some spelling lessons.

  • lol

  • @europamoon100 I agree.

  • "Sherry", "Big Girl's Don't Cry", "I've Got You Under My Skin", & "Bye Bye Baby".

  • *GoddFellas* "Who do Ya think Ya R Frankie Valli O sumthin" man great scene check it!!

  • this is real music

  • i agree totaly!!

  • same here

  • man i love the four seasons! what a spectacular band they are! Their music will live on forever!!!

  • mmm ...Now I know the Brothers Gibb's origin voice !!

  • Zerlia jsut jellus cuz he or she dont have the balls to get up and sing in front on any one

  • Do they have to applaud at the opening of every song?

  • when you have Real Songs thats what happens. its not like that karaoke bullshit show

  • Greatest Pop Group Of All Time!

Whomever disagrees with the above statement is wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • YOU ARE WRONG!

  • i disagree, and i'm not wrong.

  • You have horrible grammar.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG MUCH!!!

  • I just met frankie valli at a concert in Brooklyn... great!

  • They are one of the reasons why I consider the 60's, the greatest decade in music history ever!...

  • completely agree (=

  • i wish i had time travel

id hang out with em and buy them a brew then come home and brag about how i got to hang out with them :)

    i love this song!

  • i really like the first 53 sec to this video its sounds really good, i loved it when they mixed it together.

it sounds more better then the movie WANDERERS.

    thanks

  • DIRTY DANCING

  • i heart this song!!!

  • What are you talking about? Please clarify yourself because you are talking about legal this and legal that. How does anything you are saying have to do with music. It seems to me that you are just bringing up random stuff in order to sound politically aware but you are way off left base. Explain yourself. Who is infringing on the choices of other?

  • If you're looking for answers legal, metaphysical and otherwise, I would refer you to my band's video of Franki Valli's classic song, "Silence Is Golden".

One of our fans requested we try to play it. Within minutes we had it down note for note and soon were able to delve even deeper into the profundity.

  • I understand everyone thinks Frankie is great. I do too. I love his songs. But you can't compare what he sang 40+ years ago to what is on the radio now. There are different audiences. Also, not all rap is bad. And rap has a large following so unless you are going to tell all those people that what they like is crap, you shouldn't be disrespecting it so much. Rap is not the only genre of music that has been going under. Pop, rock, etc. are all not "as good" as they were back in the day.

  • i gotta agree 100% people are way to close minded im huge hiphop fan and i enjoy frank music aswell some people just listen to one song on da radio n claim to hate that genre of music of that one song

  • 00simmi2007,

That is why there is chocolate and vanilla, sweet & sour, big and small, day & night, right & wrong, silk& wool, weak & strong, left & right, Dems & Republicians,

It is all about choice. In America, we get to choose and it should be done by all without ridicule, belittling and all this PC crap to please a small group. Please yourself and go on your way but do not infringe on the choice of others-This is dedicated to LEGAL Americans in this great country today. Have a great day.

  • Rap SUCKS! Its really horrible. O_O Ushually all the 13 yearolds love it..... BLah not me. O_O I love this stuff and Metallica and slipknot. Things like that.

  • lol you were worth listening to right up until you said you liked metallica and slipknot, you stupid tart

  • yeah hes pretty good, did you know he actually has hearing loss? (frankie vallie)

  • no i did know how old was he when it happened

  • Most of his hearing has been restored with surgery.

  • wow he can go high.. sheesh this is talent not the rap crap now adays..this is music

  • this is beautiful music

    unlike today

    its all tallentless

guys like this and led zeppelin really inovated the music colture

i cant waittttttttttttt im going to see the four seasons =]

  • Love FRankie Valli, what a guy! Produced some great music. Souljaboy, think again!

  • Aaahhh... Remember the good old days? Now big girls DO cry...

  • I'm 18 and my favorite music is from the 40s, 50s and 60s. I have all the hits on my ipod.

  • congrats! want a cookie? just kidding. But seriously they just don't make music like they used to.

  • same here. i love all eras but 50s/60 are my favorite, along with the 80s.

  • i love this song

  • You realize it's like 5 songs put together, right? LOL!

  • That's a common misconception.

    I'm 17 as well

And kids have an open mind, music is universal.

I personally Love Frankie Valli and the Four seasons.Been humming his tunes since I was really really little.

  • This is clasic, And our kids listen to garbage music like Soulja boy..lol

  • not true,Im 17 and I hate soulja boy and I love music like this

  • i'm not saying i hate soulja boy. i mean, i dance to it at formals and stuff but music like this is much more my style. (: ever since i saw the original hairspray movie about five years ago, i've been obsessed with "duke of earl" and leslie gore.

  • exceptional good old song.really enjoyed it alot.

  • i really wish music was still like this today!! honestly

theres no talent in the music anymore

  • theres talent today! you just have to look for it. The only difference is that in the old days, good music was mainstream, today, its the shitty music that gets all the spotlight

  • amen dear----IT HAS NO MEANING, MESSAGE, --it's all noise now

  • yes!!!!

  • you gatta give him props man, you know how hard it is to sing that high?

haha, it hurts. not including that opera or singing groups, you can make BANK off of those,

    tenor males....

    high demand.

low supply for obvious reasons. =)

  • There's no talent today.

  • Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears and Carrie Underwood aren't talented at all...the Only reason Clarkson and Underwood are Popular are popular ONLY because of American Idol. And Britney Spears can't sing at all, she lip syncs.

  • they did good on karaoke night. That show is karaoke.

  • @Zrelia .

I'm sorry. I agree with most of your comment, but Carrie Underwood can sing, and I don't think that her success is even related to american idol anymore. But, I do agree that the other two suck!!!

  • @Zrelia I agree totally...and Britney Spears' concerts are a waste. It's like, if I want to see you lip sync the whole time I'd pop in a dvd of her videos or something. Not a fan of hers but I'm just stating a factual point.

  • @Zrelia thats ignorance speaking, I'll give you Britney Spears, but to say Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson are not talents is ridiculous! You may not favor their music but from a technical standpoint, Carrie and Kelly are great vocalist.

  • saw the jerseys boys last night in toronto. what a fuckin show!!! Unbelievable!!

  • The Four Seasons distinct style carried the 50s sound well into the 1960s and beyond.

But the Four Seasons has from ancient times been a group in name only as it is Frankie Valli who is the thing.

Sadly, Frankie can't do those high notes like he used to, but fortunately The Jersey Boys have successfully captured the essence of the original lineup.

And believe me, that is no small effort.

  • they should have added some songs from them for fallout 3

  • That's Joe Long on bass. He was not inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame with the other originals.

  • why not?

  • That's live, too. Frankie sure had it back then...

  • ust saw the Jersey boys show in NYCC

he was rlly there i got his ag

  • nice

  • I have always loved them

  • love that banshee scream , . . .

  • Just got back from seeing the show in London. Brilliant - just like the real thing.

  • superb what a voice i've always loved the four seasons as well
