no, it most likely is a real tournament. what happens is, if one opponent gets really far ahead, at the end the one the is down just gives up, and they play a lil mini-exhibition "for the fans' entertainment".  i just learned about this shit last week, and i find it offensive actually...like the polar opposite of "never give up". =p

No, because they train harder than other athletes, plain and simple. If you watch any of the news reports on the players you can see them have a laugh and joke about, but when they train they are 100% dedicated.

@ChlmpNipplz actually the reason people don't hit the other way when opposition is on defencive back position is because when the ball comes there so much spin on it that it is nearly impossible to do it. He did change the angles slightly but too much of a dramatic change and he would miss his shot or the ball would spin into the net.

It's almost impossible to perform a drop shot taking a ball from that far out.

Wang Liqin is truly my favorite player of all time. He like Ma Long dominates the sport using sheer power and speed. European players and especially Ma Lin typically have unorthodox styles using a lot of spin, control, and strategy.

As to your video's question, anyone who practices something for 10-12 hours a day 6-7 days a week is obviously going to be good at that something. No one else in the world practices as much as the Chinese at least not as efficiently.
