  • Raoh wasn't a bad dude really, he just wanted to conquer the world and install order. Sure he wanted to rule it and be the strongest but he actually wanted to improve the world and enforce order, which is desperately needed. I wish they would have increased his gaiden to a whole series, seeing him travelling prior to having an army really gave us insight on Raoh, he was very loyal to those loyal to him.

  • @UchihaGamer111 he is a very interesting charachter indeed

  • @UchihaGamer111 Installing Order at the expense of liberty and freedom. Evil if I ever heard it.

  • @HandyMan101 True freedom is what we see in the apocalyptic waste. Freedom from law, freedom to do what one wants based upon only his own desires and limitations. Men killing for pleasure, for blood thirst, raping and pillaging. That is a harsh world, requiring harsh methods to subdue. Watch the movie Hero with Jet Li it addresses this very topic. Conquest for the greater good of peace, or freedom of autonomy and everlasting battle?

  • @UchihaGamer111 Order, huh? Legions of bandtis pwning people without any chance for people to resist? Sounds like a buttfuck.

  • @FoxRuFed Like I said you can't be a simpleton. When the legions of bandits are the only things resembling an army, you use what you can. You can't enforce order with out victory, and Raoh hadn't reached victory. He was more for enforcing peace, then bringing peace. I'm not saying Raoh was wrong in the path he took, i'm saying he had more vision then what retards would like to think.

  • @FoxRuFed Of course all of these ideas ect were really only exposed after Raoh had died. So they did kind of retcon him from a completely bad guy into what i'm talking about. But the fact remains even if we discovered it after he died, he had been thinking it while he was alive.

  • Raoh doesn't even give a fuck! He's like "Oh hi there! Nothing out of the ordinary here, I'm just holding this 250+ pound man with nothing but the finger that I stabbed through his chest while I stare ominously into the distance. Move along, nothing to see here."

  • raoh = kung fu julius caesar

  • That's cheap as hell, Hokuto Shinken, The art of throwing blankets at your enemy so you can get a surprise jab

  • It'd be double KO if Raoh forgot about the cloak?

  • @kelmorian178

Nah, don't think so. He would have found another way to avoid Rei's attack, that of the cloak was simply the easier one or the first counterattack that came to his mind. May be a dirty trick, but let's adimt that, he was too superior, not even need to get off of his horse.

  • @gracio78 There is a reason why Ryuken warned his students not to engage wth Nanto Seiken Practioners, one reason could be to avoid double fatality, or to make sure his students don't kill the Nanto Sects.

Yeah, Raoh is considered way too poweful compare to Rei, though Rei's ultimate atk can be fatal if landed upon him.

  • Hokuto no Ken >> Saint Seiya >> Dragonball

Aw yeah, those were the days

  • Rei should also be considered Kenshiro's bro.

  • Aaaah Raoh, you're definitely one of those rare anime/manga characters that can truly say and live up to that expression that they can kill a man with just a finger. I just love HNK for this level of badassery.

  • cape is like 3rd strongest thing in fist of the northstar, 1. Raoh 2. horse 3. cape just saying

  • Since when is Yuria the sister of Rei?

  • @M34Clan8 cause thats his sister yuria is elsewhere

  • @fastold

Sry , messed up, i watched the movie first, and now i watched the series... KK

  • And either way, if Rei had not died the story would not move on to the Shuu/Souther Story because Ken would not need a second companion, in that case Shuu.

  • Rei is a damn powerful fighter. Even on the death brink he took on another Nanto Rokuseiken for good.

Problem is, in every manga/anime the new characters are even and even more powerful during the story and the big villains have shocking intros. Pity they took out Rei that easily to show how badass Raoh is - if the fight was a nice match, Raoh wouldn't be introduced as the man who can kick Ken's ass.

  • I can't stop watching this!! is there something wrong with me?

  • Poor Rei never stood a chance against my boy Raoh!! But at least he went down swinging!!

  • @nigeuldemby1 how did rei go down swinging? he never hit raoh.

  • @DarkXtreme5000 What he's saying is Rei went down while fighting.

  • Lin is not virgin after stare Raoh.

  • I'd say this fight is a poor way to judge how strong Rei is. He is used as a tool to establish Raoh's power, just like how Falco is used to establish the might of Shura. You see anime and manga use this technique to introduce powerful villians all the time.

  • Throughout the whole series rei only fought peasants and then tried to take on roah. Its like someone who's never been in a boxing match trying to take on the number 1 contender. Rei's fighting style was really cool but i'm not even sure if he could take on jagi or shin. Definatly no match for hokuto shin ken. I'm suprised rei's arms didn't explode after roah hit him the first time.

  • @cheperth He could definitely take on Jagi and Shin (especially Jagi). Make no mistake, Rei is no pushover, as we see in his last fight when he takes on another Nanto Seiken master.

  • @cheperth Oh come on, jagi? rei would slice his ass up. As for shin, if yuria was around then definetley. thats one of the main reasons shin lost to ken, he didnt have yuria around. If he had yuria around and ken tried to take her they would have had a close fight.

  • I still think rei is weak for killed so fast. Even toki put up a way better fight and he's dying from disease.Jagi isn't as good as kenshiro but still uses hokuto shin ken. All jagi needs to do is hit one pressure point and bam. Game over.

  • @cheperth But the thing is you have to remember, the stronger the fighter is the tougher they are. Hokuto shinken users have to hit hard on tougher fighters to get their pressure points. Thats why amiba couldnt get kenshiro and juuza was taking hits from raoh along with fudo without blowing up. Jagi wont be able to since he is weaker and slower than amiba and rei was equal to ken before kens first fight with raoh.

  • @heretowatchvideos100 I guess so. I always thought that rei should have been the one to fight jagi since jagi is the one who kidnapped his sister and killed her husband etc. When it comes to fighting tough badguys kenshiro is such a ball hog. Kenshiro has to take all the good ones. Watching rei fight yuda didn't really tell us much since they used the same style that rei was already known to be better at. At least in the movie they let him fight ryuga although ryuga is alot tougher in the series

  • @cheperth Read rei gaiden to see him fight his master who was basically the raoh of nanto seiken

  • @cheperth You mean Uighur, right? Ryuga was never in the 1986 movie.

And yeah, I feel Rei had a bigger beef with Jagi than Ken. I mean, Jagi killed his parents, kidnapped his sister,, and most likely raped her before selling her into slavery. I was always surprised how easy Rei let go of his hunt for the 'man with seven scars.' But either way, Rei would have creamed Jagi.

  • @sec0ndevolution Yeah i meant Uighar. Good point. Its funny how they dont talk much about that but jagi more than likely raped her. Rei dropped his beef too easily. I they shold should have let ken and rei fight first but not to the death. I thnik that would have been awesome. Rei vs jagi. I still think its funny how jagi was mad about not being the hokuto shin ken successor. He had to have known that it was either going to be ken, roah or toki. Jagi was dilusional to think he had a chance.

  • @cheperth

Did Jagi really give a fuck about being the successor himself? Later he did, yes, but only because Raoh allowed him (I think he did) to play the role of the successor after Ken supposedly died.

But before he just couldn't get over the fact, that the YOUNGEST of the bunch would be successor.

Toki or Raoh would have been fine by him.

  • @DrunkenCoward1 I guess your right. He just wasn't happy about ken being the successor.

  • @cheperth BTW I meant shin beating rei

  • Somehow, I was expecting Heart of Madness to play for some reason

  • I seriously cant stand Lynn. She cant just shut up. KEH! KEH! KEH! *whimpers* REI! REI! REI!

  • The ultimate attack of Suicho Ken foiled by a CAPE? Still makes me mad.

  • Ahaha raoh used a cape to stop rei's tech

  • Raoh is the man, BUT in the series he didnt want it with Souther, Souther was just too boss.

  • @NikonSanz the only reason why Raoh doesn't want to fight Souther is because he doesn't understand why Souther is invincible. If Raoh knew Souther's secret, he would perfect him just like he did to Rei.

  • @Yaguara Yea but he didnt, and he didnt want to fight him, Souther, Shin, Roah, they are the top dogs in FOTNS series imo. Shin half killed ken and spared his life, Souther half killed ken and couldnt be bothered to finish him off and Roah is probably the best character in the entire series. FOTNS went down the toilet when they got rid of shin in the 1st part of the series, that 1st part of the series with ken chasing him down is for me the peak of FOTNS.

  • @NikonSanz Whoa... Seriously? The Shin arc was terrible. The animation budget was pretty low and it was padded out with nothing filler episodes. It had some moments sure, but it was after that arc where the story really got on track and stayed true to the manga.

  • @sec0ndevolution your welcome to your opinion, i think it was complete garbage after shin exited and kenshiro has to be one of the most boring and lifeless characters in the whole thing, same lines, same moves, same same same, fucking boring. Its the villians like Shin and Raoh who make fist of the north star watchable imo.

  • @Yaguara Rei could have been a legend, his entrance into the series was the best ive seen for character and had they have put him head on with Ken, it would have been a GREAT continuation after shin, but they didnt and Rei ends up being some boring love sick puppy get shitted on in 30 secs by raoh and chasing after mamiya and all this shit. FOTNS's plots are pretty shit imo and Kenshiro is prolly the most BORING character ever in manga....luckily Roah saves the whole series.

  • THROW A SHEET OVA YO FACE AND DIE!!!!!

  • In the manga Raoh has the additional gift of precognition. Because of this he saw Rei's attack beforehand - an attack for which there is no defense unless you know it's coming. Were it not for Raoh seeing Rei's attack with this precognition, Rei would have taken Raoh's life at the cost of his own. Also, Rei lives for 3 days after this battle and takes down another Nanto master. Possibly the worst of them after Shin. But I agree - Rei was way too fucking bad-ass to go out like this.

  • this was a fucked up scene i was so mad when rei died he was sooo bad ass than kenshiro btw im the only girl i know that watches this crazy show

  • @TheMillenniumactress yea was fucked up how rei died, he shouldnt have gone out like that!!

  • @TheMillenniumactress You're one awesome girl for liking this. Thank you.

  • Damn it that's cheating! =(

  • it says that if rei used the self sacrifice move he would kill raoh if he used it properly

  • God i love this anime!!! <3333

  • I like how he just tells Raoh to shutup lol

  • I'd love to see Raoh vs Yujiro Hanma

  • Rei didn't do this to repay Kenshiro, or at least it wasn't his prime motive, he launched a suicidal attack because he realized Raoh was too powerful for Kenshiro and any direct confrontation will be in vain.

    Rei was an awesome character

  • @smowkaaa Also, he does it to save a girl's life from the star of death.

  • 5:51 The Anal Probe of the Heart!

  • Hokuto No Ken: A commercial for steroids since 1997? Who gives a crap about what year.

  • @sonic4500productions 199X, please.

  • Was Rei born with bright green hair if that's not the case then post apocalyptic japan must still maintain their hair salons ,which would explain the multicolored bandits

  • So why didn't he try to kick Raoh again? This people are dumb they insist to use their hands.

  • @BurnRoddy He can cut threw people like butter with his hands. He can't with his legs.

  • Has he ever tried to fight using his fits as hands?

No he hasn't, that would give him 4 hands instead of just two.

Most characters in this anime never even bothered to train their kicks.

Can you name the chacracters who kick?

Yes all the characters who beated Kenshiro throw at least a kick or two. They always win until the rematch with Kenshiro.

Kenshiro hismself often uses his legs so he beats them in the end.

    Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Using just your hands is stupid.

  • @BurnRoddy Yeah.... that's it all it took to beat Raoh. One swift kick... *rolleyes*

  • @BurnRoddy Actually Shuu's style has a lot of kicks, and he is thrashed pretty soundly by Souther.

  • Well souther uses his legs a lot so.

  • @BurnRoddy I wouldn't call kicking Kenshiro once "a lot".

  • @BurnRoddy all i'm hearing is plenty of people use their legs after all.

  • @BurnRoddy Juuza used his legs.

  • @BurnRoddy most char? what the fuck? are you sure you're seeing fist of the north star? not some other anime? that is what is used primarily, lets see, souther, toki, juuza, shuu, raoh, even kaioh are characters that use their legs often.

  • I just posted a Rei Tribute video with all of Rei's moves. Check it out if you want.

  • 4:44 - That should actually be: "I can only repay Ken and you guys through fighting!"

  • 2:05 did Darth Vader get involved in this *cues drums and cymbal*

  • Shin Akuma ( Gouki ) Vs Raoh.. Great fight.

  • Oh so he a bitch and Why TF does er body in here have F***INg fast a** hands Damn

  • A Super Saiyan wouldn't have helped (It would have made Rei weaker)

Someone could turn Super Saiyan 50 and Raoh would still one-shot them.

  • Rei should have gone Super Saiyan.

  • × death star

shichoosei=Star in which it notifies of death beforehand

  • @LordKrezos hahaha best comment ever

  • "The star you saw was the Death Star."

So HnK and Star Wars take place in the same universe. Awesome.

  • @ShadowPa1adin Raoh = Darth Hokuto

  • @scorpinoks So Raohs a pedophile?

  • SUPER POKE ATTACK!

  • @1:40: "Very well. Come at me in any way you like." Coming at you like a shark with knees!

  • Oh I'm Raoh and just holding a 100kg man on my finger..nothing special.

  • No point in using sacrificial moves on Raoh. Even with everyone "giving" you strength, it doesn't work.

  • Man, I hated this part. Rei should have never fight Raoh, but again Raoh was dirty on this one

  • @Ainzho Raoh turned Rei into a Human Balloon.

  • so rei's secret attack is the windmill punch.

  • this movie is loosely based on Chunk Norris' puberty.

  • Wow. That was rei's most powerful attack. So powerful,he had to sacrifice himself. But raoh didnt even let rei kill himself. Raoh treated Reis most powerful move like shit by just throwing his cape at him and stab him with one finger. He didn't even get off his horse! Wow I feel so srry for rei.

  • Whenever I see Lynn's hand go up to stop Rei, all I hear is Westside Connection - Bow Down. "Everybody freeze on ya knees, BUTT NAKED PLEASE!!"

  • damn, this is so awesome. I feel sorry for rei but i don't know what's worse getting killed by a finger or losing to a guy while he's on his horse. Still, this is one of the reasons why I'm a HNK fan. I think this anime was made in tribute of chuck norris.

  • Comment removed

  • @Aizen1122 chuck norris and bruce lee combined

  • See? @ 2:19 a smart person would just say "fuck this" and walk away but noooo...Rei had to be Rei..

  • i sooooooo want a wallpaper of 6:27

  • @Roew If you want that wallpaper, than put the video on bigscreen and pause it at 6:27

Then, press the print screen sys rq key. After that, go to Microsoft paint, and use the cut option and paste and you will have a picture from the video. Finally, save the picture and set as your desktop. You're welcome.

  • Raoh never used these abilities again didn't he?

  • Rei lost because he knew Raoh had a point... i mean... yeah. >_>

  • Somebody said they saw Rei down at Grady Hospital in surgery for cutting a major artery from his picking his nose. I don't know...could be a rumor.

  • Did not really like the cartoon series. Watch the cartoon movie, it is much better than the entire series, more action less talking.

  • @blackplaque617 In your opinion

  • @Energyone cuz it's from 80s. you should watch the comic book. it has less talks. :p

  • phail

  • 6:28 PIERCE THE HEAVENS

  • RAOH you are a shit to kill my cosplay

  • Badassness at 2:19

  • @ RamzaOwn the only idiots who spammed the same ads from 3 years ago are poteruiu, huytet, gargar34, lumikker, gh0str3ap3r, l0v3scar, herarea,& perteru. Rei's fight with Raoh was a fatal mistake for Rei to get stabbed in the back by Raoh's finger thanks to Mosou Insatau that predicts and envades an enemy's offensive moves and allows a counter attack subconsiously however Toki expands Rei life for one day before his final fight with Yuda .

    Rei: ShUUUUUHooOOooouuuu ZHUUUUUHOOUUU.

    Raoh: GRAAAHHH.

  • if raoh would have forgot his cape at home it would've been a double K.O.

  • @Maurcas1

Bullshit ,Ken-Oh is the real deal

  • マントでやぶれる南斗究極奥義

  • @scorpinoks that's the power of hokuto shinken

rape their enemies without even touch them XD

  • Yeah Rei had to die a punks death to big up the big fight between Ken & Raoh and give it more meaning.

As much as I like the main fighters in the series like Ken & Raoh I find myself rooting for the under dogs like Rei, Souther and Juuza etc. etc. most of the time lol.

  • Man, that's what I'm talking about.

Raoh didn't even dismount, whipped his ass with his aura, then as he was launching his ultimate attack he threw a cape in his face and killed him with his finger.

Hell yeah. If I saw that I would just leave town.

  • rei is the best character, he just slice you in pieces

  • Rei would've "won," but Raoh had two things Rei didn't:

-Literal foresight to the point he could predict the outcome of their clash flawlessly.

-A cheater's ambition. Raoh doesn't care how he wins, just that he wins ultimately. Whether that's "right" or "wrong" is left to interpretation, but things like this and stabbing Toki's foot are examples of this.

Rei, who would only fight honorably and head on at the cost of his life, didn't stand a chance even though he could surely kill Raoh.

  • @HaelstromNet Rei had to die for narrative reasons. I mean, he was fast as hell, he could have chopped that friggin' cape. Than he would have a cool, long, honorable fight with Ken Oh. Losing, of course, but Raoh would've needed some serious stitching. But for story's sake he had to be destroyed and deprived of his honor. That strenghtened the aura of terror of Raoh (main villain) and Rei's sad hero reputation. Rei's memorable anyway, he just deserved to go out with a bang rather than a hiccup.

  • @HaelstromNet To be honest, he would've lost anyway because of Nanto's destiny and how Hokuto is more important. Raoh using his cape was a complete dick move though, I agree.

  • @HaelstromNet bullshit! raoh is tha fucking man

  • First,Raoh wasn´t taking fight seriously cause Rei had seen Death Star.

If Raoh had dismounted and fighted seriously Rei wouldn´t have had any chance of hurting him at all.

But Raoh was also arrogant so he stayed mounted, and Rei had his chance there.

  • i think Rei and Souther were the most powerul out of all the 6 Nanto masters. Rei would have succeeded in wounding Raoh, if Raoh hadn't thrown his cape Rei would have delivered his attack perfectly. Raoh is powerful..... but he is not a fair fighter!

  • Agreed

Rei and souther are the shit

  • If raoh didn't throw his cape, they 'd have both died .

There was no another way for raoh to escape from rei's attack.

ANd for those who dont' understand why rei wasn't able to dodge of slice the cape, it's because he was fucking suprised! like all of us when we saw this for the 1st time

  • lol death star

  • I guess thats why its a suicide attack: he cant block and attacks when the opponent attacks

  • you know what sport makes a good fist of the north star movie NBA

  • 5:08 raoh saw what rei wanted to do...and he wanted to slice him up.but knew that rei wassent gonna be able to do it sooo he did not wanted to loose his time with him so he just threw the cape just to show how good he is in fighting that he made rei look like a punk and a fool.its not that he cheated he just did that to show how easily he can beat any opponent

  • Actually, Raoh used the cape to throw Rei off-balance. It kinda makes a mockery of Rei's power, but then... that's Ken-Oh for ya!

  • Oh boy, to possess such a level of pure, raw manliness, that you can hit people with it without moving a muscle :-O

  • A man wouldn't throw a cape at someone for a free hit.

  • @ 6:16 is that Jesus ?

  • It's Toki, and he died for your sins.

  • HnK the best!!! thanks!!!

  • that was so fucking good.

  • dang, i might need to start watching this.

  • It was a bit silly that Rei's super-charged-over9000-kamikaze attack was blocked by a *cape*!

They should have had Rei off-balanced destroying the cape before meeting Raoh's finger when it was too late.

  • Now...I've only seen clips here and there on Youtube, but Ken and Raoh sure seem to meet up a lot. Here, the Raoh-Toki fight, and other places...

So why is it that they only fight each other at the very end of the series?

  • They fight more than once. If you'd seen more of the show you'd know more.

Google Fist of the North Star and you should find a site with the whole show if you'd like to see all of it. It's 109 episodes.

  • 2:22 you can deffinetly say that fists were flying

  • 南斗水鳥拳

  • 6'11" actually, he's still fricken huge though and the horse's hooves are like that of an elephant's feet. Raoh is the ultimate badass..

  • Although it kinda broke the flow of the dramatic effect. it's nice of them to show what Nanto Sousai Ken was suppose to look like when it hit.

  • Why didn't Raoh use his foreseeing tactic more often during other fights?

  • Rei, la prossima volta un po' più di allenamento, su, su.

  • 2:23 : Raoh (con le mani sulle redini) che sprigiona cazzotti è una delle scene più memorabili (e lollose) di tutta la serie.

  • Not Rai haters here,Rei is a really cool character, but he never had a real chance against Raoh.

First,Raoh saw what could happen, the kamikaze attack by Rei.But really Raoh didn't use much of his power in this fight,he didn't even dismount.

So sorry,Rei would had never won =)

  • Rei was awesome it was a shame he went out so badly. Raoh pretty much made everybody who fought him look like a wuss.

With the Exception of Kenshiro , Toki and a few others

  • you're a man who's seen the death star.

REI IS GOING TO MEET DARTH VADER YAAAAAAY!!!

  • è vero cazzo! umiliato da un mantello ed un dito....

  • rei why did u have to die :(

  • Well Raoh didn't know Musou Tensei yet though.
