I have the album (tape)Jaime la vie and Apres toi I need a new one smile... Vicky Leandros and Celine Dion are the first french performers I heard back in the 80's I love love their style and music..

  • et quelle est belle

  • trop belle chanson j en pleure

  • Γειά σου Vicky.

    χαιρετισμούς από Κέρκυρα. Νομίζω από εκεί ειναι η καταγωγή σου;

  • @evarlam

  • Some German friends are wondering why she didn't represented Germany. The same question would be asked by the Greeks as well.My opinion is that if political situation in Greece was normal (don't forget that there was a fascist military regime 1967-1974), it is certain that she'd choose to represent Greece.

  • @evarlam Thanks - I've often wondered why she didn't represent Greece with this song - though she did record a Greek version

  • Love this song. Did not realise she was actually Greek till Nick Wright mentioned it on Magic's Golden Hour the other morning.

  • She is still as beautiful as in 1972, she still can sing, and she deserved to win with this song (though its structure is very simple).

  • oui oui

  • A time when memories ere made and shattered, hope your French is up to scratch CC

  • B r a v o !!!!

  • Kippenvel all over.

  • !!!!!!! everyone must check out a band which represents LITHUANIA at this year Eurovision Song Contest, it's InCulto - East European Funk !!!!!! a very special and unique band , they definitely deserve 12 points at final !!!!!

  • What a horrible nose job.

  • @remuswolfrocket apparently it is not a "nose job"... and this is your comment??? Nothing on the song, on the lyrics...nothing? Get a life!!!

  • @remuswolfrocket reading your comment , your brainsurgerry didn´t work out for you either

  • How can Ronbon say she can't sing ? She was only about 20, she was singing live and not in her mother tongue ( Greek/German ) , she went on to have huge international success, singing in several languages and is still beautiful and singing to this day. Vive Vicky !

  • The great times of the song festival! Today's shit is not even comparable to this ....

  • @angusthesheep RIGHT today's festival is a rip of those shitty songs politic voting it's a scandal.

  • She had the best song in 1967 and only came 4th, she had the best song in 192 and won thankfully.Beautiful singer.

  • @ronbon23 Is something wrong with your ears????

  • Wow. 5 stars, what else.

  • VICKY ! S´ ARAPAO

  • i love this song 1 of the best 2 !!!

  • i have This in english but sounds better in french

  • Das sind noch Lieder!

  • 70 s Golden era ,Era dourada.

    Were are those talents?

Vraiment ca fait tomber des larmes.

  • i still remember that night in every detail... almost at the end of my childhood... the family sitting to watch the great greek Vicky... o tempora o mores...

this song brings joyfull memories from last century.. love you Vicky

  • Her greatest Anthem!!!

  • Oui après toi je pourrais plus vivre!

  • 1972, I was only 10, but I loved Vicky Leandros so, so much. second only to Miss Maroney, my History teacher in Jr., school. Then again, there was Jennifer Moore, Alama Farrell [ god she was so sweet]], old times they are not forgotten, oh, Apres Toi

  • Super

  • wonderful song! takes me back to my childhood.. these were my influences and inspiration to learn to sing and write!

  • A beautiful song a well deserved win. Its a timeless classic that holds its own even today.

  • Wow.. what a beautiful song!!!!

  • what a beautiful voice and beautiful woman . the most beutiful grand prix performance ever

  • sublime!

    weiter so vicky....

  • Little Vicky.

    What a great survivor!

  • I never realised she sang a shortened version in the contest.

  • Apres toi ...

  • Was für ein schönes Lied! Schade nur, dass ich es nicht verstehe...

  • Gibt es auch auf deutsch,

    Dann Kamst Du

  • Schon.

  • i love this song so much.............i found this song on a eurovision highlight real

  • So annoying that man in the picture from 0:12 till 0:15! Could not be that doing else?

  • The cable of the microphone is as long as herself. So funny to see that!!

  • Quel charme

  • Yes, but I think in french it's better.

  • English lyrics:

There were times in the days gone by

When I thought I was living, having fun with all the friends I knew

Now it seems all so long ago

For my life changed completely from the moment I met you

  • Come what may, I will love you forever. And forever my heart belongs to you. Come what may, for as long as I'm livin'. I'll be living only for you.

Now I know I was lost till I met you

When I met you, love told me what to do

Come what may, in a world full of changes

Nothing changes my love for you

Never ask what the past was like

  • Doesn't it has to be "Come with me" instead of "Come what may"? I cannot match "Come what may" in the next sentences of the song.

  • As the translated french title would be "after you", "come what may" is much closer to this than "come with me". (On the other hand, the german lyrics are about the complete opposite - an upcoming love.)

  • English continued; I will live for tomorrow, yesterday is very far away. Now you're here, everything is new You are all that I long for, and I long for you to stay. Come what may, I will love you forever And forever my heart belongs to you Come what may, for as long as I'm livin' I'll be living only for you. Now I know I was lost till I met you When I met you, love told me what to do Come what may, in a world full of changes Nothing changes my love for you.
  • what wonderful english lyrics to a beautiful song best winner of the contest.

  • I like the spring in her step as she walks on stage. She knows she's going to piss it!

  • VICKY IS A GODDESS!!

  • cant be more true!!!

  • poli kalo tragoudi..bravo sti vicky..parolo pou ine ellinida den mas ekprosopise...alla ine san na exoume kerdisi emis...well done

  • come what may... i will love you forever and forever my heart belongs to you, come what may, for as long as i'm living, i am living only for you, ????? come what may, in a world full of changes, nothing changes, my love for you. well that's how i remember some of the 'translated' chorus. and the world full of changes bit was quoted to me by a philosophy lecturer in a tutorial in 1981. not cos he loved me, but it always stuck in my mind as a great lyric. wonder who did the translation/ rewrite.

  • A TRULY DESERVING WINNER what a wonderful song, back when the Eurovision was a SONG contest and not a freak show

  • Oh, you are so right!!!!

  • Those times will never return - an absolute classic!

  • A thing which I find particularly sad is the fact that,

    if this was today's songcontest,

    that beautiful young singer

would probably have had a nose job

and look like every other girl...

  • Like a grief striken young Greek widow

  • This is Eurovision!

  • Ouxou! Poso xairomai pou ti vrika sto Youtube!

  • The English version is called "Come what may", and it did well in the charts back in the 197s.

  • I was eight when i saw vicky in eurovision and had massive crush, great song, love to see her on jools holland show, pure class, xxx vicky.

  • Amazing song and woman, the best song of that year and the rightfull winner aswell.

    She is also very beautiful!

  • can somebody traslate all song pls?? for me actually i love that song but dont understand

  • French -> English:

worldwideweb point diggiloo point net slash ?1972lu

  • There were times

    In the days gone by

When I thought I was living

Having fun with all the friends I knew

Now it seems oh so long ago

    For my life changed completely

From the moment I met you

  • estupenda, maravillosa

  • ein lied mit grosser geschichte...super...

  • does anyone have this song in english

  • Does an English version even exist?

  • Yes its called "come what may"

  • Great song and the second artist from that contest (along with Mary Roos) who still looks fantastic today, maybe even better than back then.

  • Greatest Euro song ever....class.!!!

  • Agree

  • what a babe

  • Très très belle Vicky

  • she won the Grandprix 1972 -it was right, even when the german song by Mary Roos was great too

  • Sounds better in English: but après toi = come what may?

  • RJO555: après toi = after you

  • "Après toi" (french) means "after you", but I didn't know that there was an english version of the song named "Come What May".

  • @petroupolis the lyricists Vicky had for this song are really to be congratulated, in that they had the ability to write a song with a sligthly different theme for the French, English,Dutch, Spanish and Greek versions and I am not sure about the Italian, German or Japanese. Come what may was a good title and song story line for theEnglish..speaking countries. I felt sorry for Sandra Kim when they put out Crazy of life. as the J aime la vie ehhhh

  • @HaberfieldChiro Do you know ehre I can find the Japanese version? :) There's actually a Swedish version too - not sung by Vicky, though.

  • @inspireradavstatyer Havent found the Japanese version but let me know who sings it in swedish love to hear it tusen tack jann
