  • well , it is quite obvious Stern did not make his career saving Carnegie hall or tickling Maos compatriots. What talent , what temperament and what devillish hard work .. Great musicians like that make every piece into a masterpiece..

  • wonderful! this is before he had problem with hand, and he pretty much lost his vibrato. this sounds more toward to Heifetz in many ways.

  • Best Wieniawski besides Heifetz's rendition. Just incredible violin playing and most importantly, wonderful music making.

  • Incredibly fast. It's a shame a cut was made (after the 2nd theme he jumps to the coda missing about 2 pages of music. still a marvellous performance.
