Sad how time goes by so fast, I don't remember much, but u do look like a long lost friend..I do recognize that smile....I hope your life is going well... video made me sad, but also made me smile.....
You know, I almost didn't click on this because it was a homemade job. But, I did and I am glad that I did. I enjoyed the movie and the soothing voice of one of my favorite songs.
EXCELLENT...I was going back to my ship in 63 from leave and had to take a bus. As I rode along that highway I always said to myself...."I'ld like to stop here someday"....of course that was then and this is now....and I never got back...I'm sure that drive isn't nearly as special as it was in those days...but of course now itz the autum....and itz time to prepare for the last days.
Beautiful movie, thank you for sharing a small part of your life with us. This is one of my favorite songs by Sinatra but I've never heard this version before its a special touch, who's singing this version.
All grown up. The pretty lady had her 80th birthday last year. The kids now have kids of their own, and are homemakers, lawyers, artists, and writers. One of the boys in the video is now a grandpa.

It is lonely, and it is sad.
The sky is blue and eternal.
When forgetting, this image is seen.
I think that there was all childhoods.
I beautifully feel nostalgia.

Haunting and lovely...a slice of American life, wrapped up in a three and one-half minute 8mm home movie. Please post more!

I really enjoyed this. I spent time in Malibu in '63. It was an innocent time.

Thank you for your sweet comment. This version of "It Was a Very Good Year" was recorded by The Kingston Trio in 1961. You can get it on iTunes.
