  • Holy shit this sounds awesome!

  • Had no idea that Sykes could sing this well.

  • La raja el video.

  • he is rock

  • Much better than Whitesnake. Coverdale owes Sykes bigtime for putting him on the map.

  • The most stupid thing is to fire the guy who made you album for the ages and then let steve vai to try to imitate john :) but soon after first gig he realize that ..... there is only one john :)

  • The one and only Mr John Sykes !!! There can be only one !!!

  • hey it's the ex dream theater guy on keyboards, isn't it?

  • @Prog1981 yep, Derek Sherinian

  • he is just so awesome!

  • Aldridge kicks the fucks out that kit.

  • The sound looks like it would be from different day than the video footage. You can see it clearly when John is about to finish singing just before the solo - he sings, but on video he is out of mic. What is more, during the solo he plays differently than we can hear. I hope it's not a playback performance as it not in the style of John. Anyone knows more about this?

  • @BartSmith85 The audio is from the official CD "Bad Boy Live!" mixed with the broadcasted video. Cheers.

  • @JohnSykesFan Thanks! Cheers!

  • Well, Sykes plays it better live than Whitesnake without him, that's for sure!

  • Anyone where there's an accurate tab for this track?Every online tab seems watered down and incorrect.

I'm suprised there isn't a tab book for the whole Whitesnake 87 album.

  • @jimllfaxit There is a tab book (band score) for de 1987 album on sale. You can find it easly on Ebay.

  • @JohnSykesFan

    Thanks

Do you know if its accurate?

  • @jimllfaxit I have one so it does exist !

  • @jimllfaxit there is a book i got it, released in japan if ur lucky u can find it on ebay i did

  • one badass M F

  • That ripped ass!

  • Zakk Wylde eat yer fuckin' heart out

  • FUCK YEAH JOHN SYKES BITCHES!

  • Chinmullet, i also just saw That Metal Show (picked up the WS info)

  • The best vibrato in the world

  • What an AMAZING performance. The band is incredibly tight and you can feel the energy.

  • Hes a pretty good singer, nearly as good as coverdale

  • Yes, Is Tommy Aldrich!!!!! The Greatest Drummer In The World!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i really cant wait for the Sykes/Portnoy project. thats gonna be awesome. oh and i believe Marco Mendoza will be the bass player imo. he always seems to be in Sykes' projects haha

  • holy smokes EH?

  • o my god this guy is awesome..blows coverdale away.

  • @charlieroy911 And he played all of the guitar parts on the 1987 Whitesnake album, as well as all fo the backing vocals. It's a shame he didn't stay in the band and at least play the 87/88 tour. Would have been amazing to see that album lineup.

    Yo!

  • @YoBroMan That lineup was magic indeed, it had everything. Too bad it did not last.

  • @YoBroMan I agree, but he didn't play on that tour. Actually none of the musicians that appeared on that album, with the exception of Coverdale, played on that tour. They were all fired before the tour, including the album's producer. Coverdale has been quoted as saying if that line up went out on the road they would've killed each other within the first week. Sykes has been quoted as saying that they would've killed Coverdale by the end of the first show, so none of that band played that tour.

  • @chinmullet420 you just watched that metal show and quoted John word for word ha ha.

  • @mahatmacoatmahandbag lol...yes i did...but ur giving me too much credit...i don't think it was quite word fo word hahahahaha

  • @chinmullet420 ha ha,I'm just glad he's gonna be back on the road again

    cheers

  • @YoBroMan he got kicked out by coverdale thats why

  • @YoBroMan He didn't play the solo to Here I Go Again. That was Adrian Vandenberg. I remember Sykes saying that he had to sneak in and finish most of the solos, after the falling out part with him and Coverdale. If you go back and listen to Here I go again solo, there's no doubt it's not him. Vandenberg tried to emulate him as best as he could, but it's hard to sound like Sykes!!!!

  • @YoBroMan he wrote 9 out of the 11 songs on 1987

  • @YoBroMan except the solo on "here I go again" that was Vandenberg in the studio

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH U PEOPLE ? U SHOULD BE 10000000 FANS BY NOW.....

    JOHN IS INCREDIBLE......EVEN NOW...

  • Thanks for uploading this!! Amazing, didn't know there's a video recording of this.

  • --- I enjoyed the g uitar most in this song because he plays a very true to the original version. I love it!

  • @mightytreasure He wrote the original song so it should be true!lol...

  • great performance

  • John Sykes always be powerful..

  • where is skyes this days he left the thing lizzy tribute band i heard???

  • @poseidon26ful Working with Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater) on a power-trio project

  • @lanedenson ok that is cool thanks for this awesome news do you now wen the releas date wil be???

  • @poseidon26ful Next year sometime. They haven't announced who the bass player is yet.

  • I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE REST OF THIS!!!!!

  • Wow, that is almost full Whitesnake line up minus Coverdale, Tommy Aldrich, Marco Mendoza , John Sykes all ex- Whitesnake boys

  • Any idea why the drummer's face is obscured?? Looks like Tommy Aldrich..Derek Shirinian from BCC on keyboards...Cool song

  • @TheGrabsplatter As EASy as read the video description...

  • @JohnSykesFan I know, just wondering why his face was obscured during the song...I read the prior to viewing..

  • Awesome!

  • Great video, dude!!! =]
