  • You can be skinny and strong. In 1965 at the age of 19 I was 6'.2" inches and 163 pounds. I lifted in the then 165 pound class in Olympic Style lifting. I was able to clean and jerk 245 pounds with about a 13 inch arm. I could dead lift 425 pounds. Bench press was not great due to thin and  flat build but I did 225 for reps with a shoulder width grip. Wide grip was discouraged as it supposedly impeded the Olympic style lifts.

  • Can someone please explain to me how doing something one time and using your legs and bouncing it off your chest is impressive. Another thing Nate lifted the it right except for one thing. His thumbs. If for some reason he failed he would be dead.  They should have had two spotters. Totally unsafe workout.

  • @iamaheron My workout starts with 8 325 6 365 6 385 6 405. I usually have two spotter on 405 in case I fail. It has never been my goal to do 500lbs. But thanks for incentive. Maybe I will post a video. Doing 1 rep proves nothing. Bouncing it off your chest proves nothing. Try doing a workout without your legs on bench. Its a little harder. Plus brings your core more into play. Not saying to do that with that heavy of a weight to dangerous. Nerd hahahahah dream on bud
