this song first being sung at the 2nd Youth Conference in 1928 (Konferensi Pemuda Ke2 28 Oktober 1928), composed by Wage Rudolph Supratman. The people who attended the conference sang this song despite the objection from the colonial gov. The content of the song, rose up the spirits of independence, d conference itself was d turning point of Indonesia's struggle for Independence, since then we openly confronted the dutch colonial gov. even now i still cry whenever i sing or listen to this song.

I've been an active choir singer for 8 years, and I see this choir has the same problem as our choir. Whenever we sing Indonesia Raya, we tend to forget that it's "Indonesia" not "Endonesia".

Well, we can't help it most of the time, hehehe...
