I did that and guess what it still says that it is write protected Im positive that it is not on the lock side ived tried it on that side to and in the middle and nothing I have several sd cards and they all do that

@linkman19mao2 Make sure it's not covering any part of the SD card except for the lock and the middle of the card. It can't be touching the gold bars, that will cause the computer to not read it.

i dont get the tape trick thou cause this write protection also happens with phone memory cards that dont have that little lock thing on the side.....so what i want to know is how to remove the write protection from a computer not physicaly or watever

@jeysson14 the sensor detects that there is something blocking the opening, and that basically unlocks it and lets memory over-write the card.. its just how its made idk it really works i just tried it.. sometimes the tape doesnt block it completely so just flip it aroundd,,
