I love this song and Christy Moore. What a fine strong mans voice he has. Thanks for that bit of info HolyFather. I always thought that Gordon Lightfoot got Edmund Fitzgerald from Back Home in Derry..not the other way around. Fantastic songs both anyway.

Different verses than i'm used to. even different from the Christy Moore Songbook. Great rare version! I grew up in the mid-west, thinking it was a gordon lightfoot song - til i was at a great session in Kerry where the traditional version was played. Still one of my Favorite Songs.
