@nakabar ya they are. ive had mine for less than a year and its already giving me the blue screen. it turns on once in a while but pretty lame that it crapped out so fast.

hey Iv got anakai mpk 49 midi controller but I cant only get the faders asigned to ableton live, how to I get other controlers to be assigned? I go to midi and turn nobs or press pads but its not doing anything ( only the faders respomd ) thanks for any help ..

I have an akai mpk49. It comes with the presets but it wont let me edit them and change it to the way i want it. I am just using live lite. do i need to get the full version or just another plug in?

yeah i think so, i have the same problem and the lite software is quite limiting in some ways. do you know how to assign samples to pads? do i put the samples in audio tracks or put them somewhere else? the ableton forums are pretty useful, the technicians get back to you pretty quick but none of them seem to answer my question properly about assigning samples lol

how do you map two or more midi controls to one button!?!?

I only have a keyboard wich limits my midi control over multiple effects, so I want to use the 16 midi channels for different effects (or different sound/midi channels) whilst I still have control of, lets say my crossfader, with the same slider on ANY of the 16 channels.

it dosnt work like that.

MIDI Control mappings and channels are two different things (essentially), if you want to map several controls to one fader/knob, then just go about it like you assign a single MIDI control, go to the MIDI control tab, highlight, move the control, and you can map a control to several actions.

first of all, should you even be using Ableton live if you dont know what a MIDI controller is? MIDI is not sound, it is signals, hook it up via USB or a MIDI port/interface and install the driver, then configure it with Ableton, referring to the manual.

I also suggest reading about MIDI on wikipedia.

i have read that there can be a delay when using the USB hookup instead of the midi hookup. but the midi hookup only works when you are using an external power source whereas the usb hookup does not need an external power source. hope that helped you whoever you are!

its not a 2 pot assign, the dry and wet in ableton live for instance, flanger has the dry/wet facility on the one pot, so u buttong turned to the right is adding wet and the same buttong to the right is dry
