1st mistake. LED will make your plants stretch and not much yield. Maybe one day they will be good? If you dont wanna use HID go with the biggest strongest T5. Ive seen some good yields. Save some $good go get a 400 HPS OR 2 150's if heat is an issue. good luck

a 18inch by 18 inch led setup is only good for a max of 26in by 28 inch of grow space so use that as a guide but yes u can lower them or u could also light them from the bottom with another led grow board... sadly my crop got ratted out by sum goof and i got my door kicked in and my 100 plants taken... sadest shit man so be careful if u need any info hit me up and i will let u pick my brian

much of your plant's ATP (energy) is being used to grow vertically to reach out to the light source instead of growing more internodes allowing more leaf growth. In other words, your plants are saying, hey man, don't you see me stretching my arms to get MORE LIGHT. Lower your light a great distance. LED's are fool proof and won't burn vegitation unlike heat wasting HID'S. Props for using 21 century superior technology.

LED's are ok for growing, but NOT for flowering. You will not produce buds with those lights. They also need to be closer to your plants.

yea ur light is too far away from the plant. they are stretching up to reach it. LEDs dont put out much heat, so you can have them closer to the tops of your plant. this results in shorter bushier plants with more branches = bigger plant = more buds!

it will gain most of its height in flowering stage anyway...yours are still in veg and look how tall they are!

You got tit going bro and they're doing good for the shitty wattage honestly. Put the lights closer then seacrch the web for a hps light man u can geta used one fairly cheap and keep the light about 18 inches from the plant so you dont have the stretching where people confuse stretching for growing. Do this and I think ur on man 18 hours for and 12 for flowering then your plant will make more bud. The difference is one plant making 3 oz where 3 are only gettin you an 1oz 1.5 oz tops.

overall I think that growing with LEDs is the future- u could almost cover the walls of ur growing room with LEDs and still not use more electricity than with HPS or MH, but u would probably get huge buds xD

Seems your plants where growing too high up, this means they where trying to get closer to the light, this also means you'll get less dense bud. A tip for next time try putting the lights closer down to the plant, try and get it bushy and short!

@CssFade depends where he is. i know in australia u can have i think up to 3 plants (depending on state) and not get fined. if u have more then 30g on ur person then u can get fined. under 30g and its a warning. but even still ip tracing is getting harder mate. my ip says im in sydney when i trace it. im no where near sydney. :p

i don't care what people say. Marijuana is an illegal narcotic, and the government wouldn't make it illegal if they didn't have a valid reason. Plus, take my advice LED lights suck, i tried it myself, and they ended up the same way these look (skinny with not much leaves). try fluorescent grow lights, they're about as expensive as leds or cheaper, they work (from my experience) very well. Still not as well as a hps or mh, but though can get you caught, and are also really expensive.

The inside of potato chip bags are mylar, ive also used cd's to reflect light before.

Ive heard of people using plain white printer paper too, but im sure thats the worst thing you could use.

hey by the way if your ligths were alot closer to the plants, like about 6 inchs to a foot, then your plant would be more bushy, cause having the lights far away will make the plants grow really tall and not bushy.

these plants could have been a lot better if the lights were closer. with leds they dont get hot enough to burn the plants so you could have them touching the plants if you wanted to, but keep them around 2" away and you wont have a problem with stretching

Your lights were too far away for one, causing them to stretch, with LEDs keep them constantly about 2" from the tops of the plant, for best penetration. LEDs wont burn your plant in the same way that HPS will.

noticed that the vid was posted over a year ago, so these are no doubt long gone, but yeah - that light needed to be much closer the the tops of those plants. that would allow for a wider vs taller plant, one that would be much more dense than that of what you likely ended up with. it is interesting to see leds used tho, good vid.

next time try keeping the LED's just a few inches above top vegetation from the start to finish, they dont get hot enough to burn the leaves. I used some ebay china cheapo 225 red/blue LED panel once to test for myself and found this to be the only way to get and girth in early grow, not those long reaching for light stems you have. after that I resold the light to avoid further remorse cause they kinda suck in my opinion, next time ill try ufo one, till then hid'n it. im still learning myself
