Love the project. My prediction is that all three of your fancy wiper motors will not be enough to turn that top thing.. (too much friction) You need to really find out what is making all that noise when you spin it manually and reduce the friction.

I've managed to watch your entire building process in the last two days and I have to say that was amazing. I see you find lots of your parts from junkyards and probably save a lot of money by staying off the grid but do you get most of your money from working for small periods of time like you've suggested before? Like in the beginning when you had to spend a couple thousand just to build the things you needed to prepare to build the robot. Do you just pay that off with money you saved before?

The acrylic sprocket didn't work right? I did same as you did while back,. and I end up breaking the plastic.

another solution if you have some bicycle chain, put around where all those screws are and the sprocket of the bicycle solder it to the moving part that way you have a more smooth and stronger turn.

@scancool I think your on the money, or just put a belt or cable around the whole thing, with the cable you can wrap around the motor pulley 360 to keep it from slipping, kinda like an old snow blower shute works.
