Guys, vista IS shit compared to XP or Windows 7. Try it and you will see the difference. But Vista is a good OS, but you can get better ones.

then you have AERO

or you download win vista lite

@withana1 No, I am not going to give you my product key. First of all, it's an OEM OS so that wouldn't work. Second of all, that is illegal. Third of all, you'd have to have the install disk. Last, just get a graphics card.

Because many programs that work on xp do not work in vista (atleast the programs I use, mainly for making music). That's the #1 problem I have with it. Xp still serves my needs just fine.

since SP1 for Vista is released Vista is more stable than XP, more reliable, faster, and a lot better performing in games

I use Vista for nearly a year now, only had 2 BSOD's (my fault). and 1 system lockup due to a failed dualboot.

so the only way Vista wil crash will it have to do something with your own doing, or hardware :p

So I'm guessing you're being smart by just not enabling all the "special effects" and/or you don't have Premium or Ultimate edition because Home Basic doesn't come with the transparent windows and fading.
