These guys were arguably the best hard rock band ever to emerge from the Christian music scene. (I'm not counting bands like King's X, which are only "quasi-Christian".) Elefante's vocals, and the countless melodic "hooks" these guys came up with, were absolutely top-notch, and long after I abandoned Christianity I still enjoy Mastedon's songs.

The funny thing is, after their second album they vanished from the face of the earth--only to reappear *20 years later* with a third album.

I have ever hear mastedon before so i think. hmm ok i will try it.
