It's simple deductive logic,if that is the sole reason a soldier gets captured is because he is incompetent, then the logic follows NO other reason would lead to the capture, so it shows the flaw of her thinking. So it follows then all soliders negative status is based on their incomptence......do the Venn Diagram...
