Spot on. Developers KNOW they can use "patches" as a handicap. It's a way that they can be lazy and rush games out and worry about problems later. I could live with a patch coming out that is used to fix minor things that may very well have been missed (and I likely hadn't noticed). But I hate the fact that some of these games have patches immediately because of something major to the gameplay. What does that mean? It means they rushed the game out. We need to stop being blind to this nonsense

Then SFIV they are doing the same shit they did in the 90's except instead of utilizing the patch process correctly (because they could not patch games in the 90's) they make the corrections and add a little bit of new shit but charge you for another game. It's like you are paying for shit that should have be fixed before the game was released. Then they wonder why people pirate games.
Look at capcom with all the street fighter rehashed in the 90's. They were more solid then but now look at them with all their games. The disrespected all hardcore fighter fans with the shit they pulled with MvC3 and SFIV. MvC3 was a completely broken game and they patched sentinel. Then they rape you for shit that's already on the disc but they locked it. It's also shit that should have been in the game. I mean costumes... come on. I agree with Hard8. When they released MW3 they KNEW that game was gonna be patched. I think it will be better than MW2 after all the patches but then again you never know. Personally I refuse to buy another CoD. And BF3 the biggest patch issue to me was recognizing people on the other team and that was fixed. Also, the original maps weren't as destructible as the Back to Karkand maps are if anyone else has noticed.
The thing is that these developers dont really take pride in their work anymore. Its all about money and a prime example is Modern Warfare 3. And just because a game is massive doesnt mean Skyrim should be let off the hook. Back in the day they still made patches but what they did is stop making the old cartridge and release the new one look; at the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time it goes V1.0, V1.1., V1.2 and so on back in the day games were the same as they are today buggy and glitchy. Of course games will always be buggy and full of glitches, and the only way to prevent it is by looking at the games coding and making sure everythings great and polished.
