I'm currently using my Razer Diamondback Magma Red (No, not the 3G, the very FIRST one...). I think I bough it in 2004. It must be up to several million clicks now, and it would probably be mind blowing to find out how many kilometers it's been gliding across my mouse pads. I didn't even replace the original teflon pads under it with glidz untill 2009.
Damn shame they don't sell the Diamondbacks anywhere...
@Hansssa Razer used to make great way back then, but when the original Deathadder became UBER popular, razer's marketing plan changed and their quality lowered to make more profit peripheral.
So yeah, original copperheads,diamondbacks,deathadders used to be great, but now? no, almost each and everyone of their product is a big pile of shit.

People saying that razer breaks easily... Is not taking good care of their stuff. I had my razer naga for... A long time, bought it a few weeks after the release, and it still works perfectly. Even though i transport it around all the time. So i just think the problem lies with the people!
Athene is seriously good at interviewing! I think he mentioned sometime that he was slightly autistic, which from my small knowledge means that you focus on one hobby, get extremely good at it, but you have very low social intelligence (which is the obvious downside). To me it seems like Athene only got the good part of the autism, the ability to learn games fast and dropped the obvious downside, because his social intelligence seems really good!

@Hazukro My imperator still works also, but it's hardly used. It's more the previous hardware that I had that broke. Deathadder also works but it's getting a bit worn. Either they stepped up the quality or I got lucky (more likely).

@BlizzardGamification Steelseries quality > Razer. I've owned several Razer mouses from the Habu to the DeathAdder to the Imperator. I've also bought razer headsets which basically fell apart in my hands (Razer Barracuda HP-1). Then I started buying steelseries gear (ikari, siberia) and I never looked back. Now I have an entire setup of: Sensei, 9H, 7G, Siberia V2. Never been this happy with my gaming gear.

I don't know, I've personally had great luck with Razer products. I have had the same Naga for over a year. It just like with anything else, sometimes you get a defective product, and sometimes with the right care they can last a lifetime.

I've had the same experience with Razer mouses, breaks after 3 weeks ^^ .
My Black Widow mechanical keyboard on the other hand have survived 1 juice spill and 1 coffee spill, Still working in brand new condition. it's a real juggernaut. Amazing for typing. I got 20 WPM more then when I type on a notebook. Probably cheaper keyboards that are just as good though :P it was a gift.

For awhile I've had my main channel, RedZambies. We've grown quickly to over 200 subscribers, and part of it is because of TTTT.
So I decided that I wanted to give back to the community. I started a new channel, the one that this comment is being made on, and its sole purpose is to promote other channels. All you have to do is subscribe and send me a PM with a link to your video. So please subscribe, the only way that this will work is if people sub and help each other out.
I play sc2 on a mac <3 masters, with a 10 dollar wireless mouse. Gear doesnt mean anything. But still the Razer gear is cool, and I guess for games like wow it could be usefull if ur apm isnt so high.
You can get masters with terrible gear, but you'd be even better with gear. the skill cap is just higher with better gear. Like sure you can be a pro at CS:S with 50 FPS and a shit mouse, but if your mouse is more accurate and you are able to actually use shadows and sound in game at 250 fps then your going to play way better.
@xVaiNe That is true, you are playing an online competitive game, you'll have to have good gear in order to have a good advantage or be on the same advantage as other players. But in the end, even people with good gear can be hardcore noobs who suck at CS:S, so it requires skill but also good gear so people don't have a great deal of advantage over you.
An advantage being a fraction of a percentage, if you're not comparing to a ball mouse. Frame rate in first person shooters is a different thing then input devices. Of course if you lag it's gonna be bad. But the difference between a 15$ mouse/beyboard compared to a 70$ / 130$ keyboard won't do any difference except maybe high end FPS games.

Razers mechanical keyboard are top of the line but there are cheaper that are just as good with less LEDs and razer logo. There is absolutely nothing objective making any Razer product better then a cheaper alternative except maybe MMO mouse if you really need extra binds. I use LG g1, worked amazingly 5 years ago, still nothing actually better, just fancier. For RTS.
@Hyddrossil "top of the line" my razer blackwidow broke after 3 weeks, was AMAZING to use, but the build quality was poor as shit. mine is now useless because there is something wrong with the cable at the start base on the keyboard itself. what bothers me to no end is that you can see that the blackwidow was "downgraded" as it is laid up for backlight, usb ports and sound inputs, which is only on the ultimate version double the price, it even has some of the ultimate features in the manual.

@ancheryay Well they always say that Razer stuff is bad. I'm sorry but I have been using my stuff all of this time and the only complaint I have is that the driver for the Abyssus Mouse doesn't save my preferred settings (so the scroll wheel is too sensitive and I need to change it every time I turn on my computer).

I play sc2 on a mac <3 masters, with a 10 dollar wireless mouse. Gear doesnt mean anything. But still the Razer gear is cool, and I guess for games like wow it could be usefull if ur apm isnt so high.

You can get masters with terrible gear, but you'd be even better with gear. the skill cap is just higher with better gear. Like sure you can be a pro at CS:S with 50 FPS and a shit mouse, but if your mouse is more accurate and you are able to actually use shadows and sound in game at 250 fps then your going to play way better.

@xVaiNe That is true, you are playing an online competitive game, you'll have to have good gear in order to have a good advantage or be on the same advantage as other players. But in the end, even people with good gear can be hardcore noobs who suck at CS:S, so it requires skill but also good gear so people don't have a great deal of advantage over you.

An advantage being a fraction of a percentage, if you're not comparing to a ball mouse. Frame rate in first person shooters is a different thing then input devices. Of course if you lag it's gonna be bad. But the difference between a 15$ mouse/beyboard compared to a 70$ / 130$ keyboard won't do any difference except maybe high end FPS games.

Razers mechanical keyboard are top of the line but there are cheaper that are just as good with less LEDs and razer logo. There is absolutely nothing objective making any Razer product better then a cheaper alternative except maybe MMO mouse if you really need extra binds. I use LG g1, worked amazingly 5 years ago, still nothing actually better, just fancier. For RTS.

@Hyddrossil "top of the line" my razer blackwidow broke after 3 weeks, was AMAZING to use, but the build quality was poor as shit. mine is now useless because there is something wrong with the cable at the start base on the keyboard itself. what bothers me to no end is that you can see that the blackwidow was "downgraded" as it is laid up for backlight, usb ports and sound inputs, which is only on the ultimate version double the price, it even has some of the ultimate features in the manual.

I'm sorry but I have been using my stuff all of this time and the only complaint I have is that the driver for the Abyssus Mouse doesn't save my preferred settings (so the scroll wheel is too sensitive and I need to change it every time I turn on my computer).
