  • You should get a dish heater pad, they are about 100 bucks and keep the dish too warm for snow to form on it. The ones I've used run on 24vdc sent over the coax.

  • Wish I was there! Love the snowblower and the new place. I miss the snow now that I'm back down south.

  • Hey neighbor, we thought about you guys during the snow and ice this past couple weeks. We just got power back after seven days. You do learn to love the wood stove and oil lamps in this type of weather. My wife, son, and I ran into you on the street around Christmas in the big city across the way. I hope your first winter is treating you as well as it is us.

  • Just a lil toooooooo much snow for my southern blood, but the views are to die for.

  • Cody, that looks like absolute PARADISE!!! I just love seeing vids of your new homestead - so happy for you guys!! My husband and I just found a piece of property we want...now, wonder if I can get what I need out of this place in order to get the other..market is so bad - so cool you guys got that when you did - you are livin' the preppers dream!!!!

  • I also bought a new snowblower a few weeks ago. The first one for me,but haven't had any use for it yet.

They don't rate them in hp anymore, but in torque. So not easy to compare. The engine volume is 305 cc anyway, and specified in kilowatts,as well.

  • arghhhh..... every single one of your videos makes me jealous.... i hate you. but i love you at the same time for sharing such awesome vids!!

  • You guys got hammered!

  • Freakin' awesome!!!

  • Spray your satellite dish with Pam cooking spray and the snow will slide off.

  • I'm really jelouse of what you have achieved there . Beautiful place

  • Looks like fun to me, up there in your winter wonderland! Got a new pup I see, what's his/her name? Have fun in the snow, and take care.

  • That's a ridiculous amount of snow! What state are you in where all this is happening?

  • Does Jack get snow days even tho he is home schooled? my boys used to, they loved it.

  • do either of you work at this point? how do you sustain yourselves when you live so far away from town?

  • @mustang8582 my guess is that they store a lot for the winter, and have canned or preserved what they grew. but Cody would have to tell you

  • @mustang8582 cody has a online jeep parts busniess, hence the name wrangler star. good stuff at good prices, right cody LOL

  • Can't believe all the snow and so quickly!

    Great video thanks!!!

  • Good to hear from you and glad to see things are going great on the homestead! That's a lot of snow you all got up there. How's that HughesNet working out for you? My folks have it on their ranch and I found it to be only slightly better than dial up. Maybe it's the package? My dad said there were 3 packages and he got the middle one. Any way, take care and God bless!

  • Jeesh. Where y'at to get that much snow?

  • Did you ever meet the old owners ?

  • What happened to that nice compact tractor you had for your mountain place?

  • I miss having a snow-blower. No snow for me down here in Phoenix. When I lived in upstate NY we actually had a kubota tractor with a cab and a 6ft snow-blower. Talk about not having to worry about any amount of snow accumulation.

  • Thank you for sharing this video and the adventures in your preps. I greatly enjoy watching your videos. Blessings to you and your family.

  • I train dogs. Plus I have a business doing so! Any dog advice feel free to write! Love yout family and the stories you share!

  • Love your video's! Living the life I always dreamed of!

  • Heated hand grips, isn't that what gloves are for : ) Seriously though looks like a good machine that will be well used.

  • Snow here in Shelton, Washington...my kids love it! Thanks for sharing a piece of your life with all of us!

  • nice. blue skies but cold, here in manchester uk.

  • winter hasn't arrived here in wales yet. It's about two months late :/

  • Haha it is a snow storm in Norway too!!!!

  • Cool video, I love that kind of weather!

  • I really like the controls for the chute. I have had my blower for 9 years and always wondered if they would make one that did not need to be cranked to turn the chute. It is difficult to crank with left hand and turn left. Fun video.

  • Nice...but man that's a lot of snow ;) c

  • WOn`t your wood house rot with snow/water?

  • if you spray your dish with PAM cooking spray, or lightly oil with furniture polish the snow will slide off easier on it's own

  • Have you considered a flame thrower attachment for the front of your truck?

  • Just drove over the Hwy 26 from Madras to Portland and it was falling at a rate of 3 in an hour.

  • its going to make waterfalls when it melts

  • I'm from Washington State Cody and we go dumped on today pretty good. We were also wondering when winter was going to come. Well, it did. LOL Looks beautiful, love the snow. Just wish we got that much it would be fun for my kids. Take care.

  • You just gotta love snow in order to live in it. NOT FOR ME ! lol

  • as cool as electric stuff is its place is not on a snow blower

  • Good thing you got that wood burner installed.

  • Cody, have you considered investing in a snow plow for your truck?

  • cool let me know how munch you all get please

  • Good video. Please keep giving updates as the snow storm progresses. Us Okies are looking at warm temps this weekend, but oh how I would love to be there. Also, why haven't you bought your wife some Filson Double Tin Pants. I recently bought a pair because of your video. I will probably continue with a tin cloth shirt next. I also own a pair of Wesco because of you. I never knew they were out there until I saw your video. I would love to own property like that in Oregon. Any good deals out there

  • Also, my shepherd LOVES the snow!

  • I grew up with snowblowers all my life, but nothing nearly that fancy! For never having even USED a snowblower in your life you sure picked a nice one LOL!

  • What an interesting life you folks have built for yourself. Great video.

  • little tip for the dish, Pam cooking spray I've been told works well. I just hit mine with a snow ball though! Nothing runs like a deer!

  • thanks for buying deere..... my dad works for em seeeling industrial size engines

  • Seriously, keep up the videos ! I really enjoy seeing your family and others being blessed.

    Thank you for your time.

  • Have to agree - Fancy machine! I did not grow up with snow blowers - I grew up with shovels...

I did use snow blowers alot on the base in Spokane, but they were not nearly this fancy back then! Looking like fun coming up. Do you snowmobiles? Lots of fun when the snow settles in a bit and is not so powdery.

  • I would of bought a used one, I was able to get 3 working ones for $100 but they didn't have any fancy extras like all the electric stuff.

  • Ooh, heated handles and headlights-- Cody, you fancy. :P

  • @wranglerstar nothing like a little dusting of snow:)

  • what? No Jack on the snow blower. I thought he would be all over that thing.....

  • how do you dare make your wife move snow!!!!!!!! see bought you a trac hoe!! she is a Queen and should not have to lift a finger LOL HAPPY New Year

  • Great deal on the snowblower, I've never used one but what a nice toy. I like the dog the best though, she's really growing and those ears are getting stronger everyday. I also love your place and I know you guys do too, have fun enjoy the snow and take care.

  • That snow weighs alot. Might think about clearing sum from the roof....

  • We're enjoying the snow up here in the seattle area too !!!

  • Nice new toy. Next you will need a small farm tractor with a loader. Be warned that those blowers can and will throw rocks along way, been there done that to a clients picture window. Glad you and the family are safe and healthy in the new year.

  • We had a huge snowfall on november 30th but have not seen over a foot since then in Michigan. We had a few 8 inch snowfalls but that's it

  • @xxbryan715xx wow what part of michigan do you live in i live like 50 miles north of detroit and the most we seen was 3 inches

  • @Nard586 im within 20 miles of lansing

  • The Neighbor i had in Mi cheated He used his four wheeler with a blade and chains and a heated cab . I Used a snow shovel! Great Exersice!

  • how far will the snow blower throw the snow 15 or 30'? I Had one that would only throw it about 2 ' when i lived in Michigan! It was called a SNOW SHOVEL!! God I miss THE SNOW did i tell you U SUCK!!!

  • You guys SUCK!!! i have only had a 1/2" this year. Its the worst ive seen it in years? God I miss the SNOW!! Send some toward the S.E. Ky area Please :) :)

  • Man, that's beautiful over there. The exact opposite of over here in AZ. Jack could get lost in that haha.

  • locking differential and head lights. sounds like im talking about my jeep not a blower. also those electronic buttons and stuff just look like trouble to me we have a blower here in Canada and nothing electric seems to be ablt to last on the blowers between the vibrations and always being wet and cold. but nice blower though and glad you have as much snow as i do.

  • @dave360dave You Suck 2 !! Send the Snow SOUTH PLZ!!:):)

  • beautiful

  • Wishing I was knee deep in the snow somewhere. Its been unseasonably warm in Missouri this year. No snow accumulation half way through January and looks like 60's this weekend... UGGG

  • What about the heavy weight from the snow on your roof?

  • I hate using the snowblower, it always blows in my face no matter where you shoot it. I got an old truck and put a plow on it. Much better with a heated cab and music lol. total cost to me 200 or 300 hundred bucks now

  • very cool. were having a really mild winter here in the southeast uk, so don't know if maybe we'll get a late snow around jan/feb as sometimes occurs. wondering if the roof will need de-snowing at some point. might be cool to see a vid on that: what's the wranglerstar opinion on that?

  • Dude you are living the dream!! Do you suppose you might do a video about how to go about planning on how to get a homestead like you have? I would love to have one, I just dont have a clue on how to do it

  • it looks so much prettier in your setting. Dealing with that system now here in central Wa. spent 2hrs shoveling & salting sidewalks this morning.

  • Great video. I really enjoy all your video's. Hope you do many more, GOD bless, JC

  • wow, thats awesome, I wish we had that snow in Michigan

  • Really cool. Not a big fan of snow but it is nice to look at.

  • craftsman blowers are junk, I know, i have one, spends more time broken than anything

  • I hit a full grown frozen dead cat with a snowblower like that last winter. stopped the snowblower cold. then i had to surgically remove the cat from the inside. it was awful. he was wrapped up in the auger. horrible mess.

  • Wonderful scenery! This Winter has been intermittent at best this year. It seems no Winter is routine anymore.

  • Nice Cody.... i was wishing for a lot of that here in Ohio... but so far just some dusting.

  • Send some of that snow our way. Not much in Alberta right now but it is cold.

  • Enjoy!

  • Love the snow vid, wish we could get some snow her in MN too, we need it!! :)

  • beautiful

  • up in st helens its about the same. great fun

  • WOW,that is nice!

  • snow day
