@skap022 the video is going in reverse, so the end of the video is the beginning. i guess the boy was sick or had cancer or something, he flatlined and died. the mom was in shock and denial and she couldn't take it, so she snatched him up to be with him one more time. she took him to the diner to eat his favorite meal one more last time, then took him to the motel to spend time with him. you understand what im saying? at 3:40 is a flashback where the mom and the healthy son are happy.

To those of you who argue whether he is dead or not. The video is going backwards. He is shown flatlined at 4:32, he is ripped off the monitor at 4:30. So since the video is going backwards, he flatlined before she ripped the cords off. The brief moment where the heart monitor is shown fluctuating is most likely due to the cords being taken off and giving a misreading.

The only scene with a heartbeat flatline is 4:25. then she pulls the chords out at 4:29. The machine at 4:32 is NOT the same as the one on 4:25, which shows his heartbeat. the machine at 4:32 shows his blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels, which indicate him as alive.

The music video is in reverse. No members of the band are shown, just a mother with her son, who in the end we find was dying. Before he dies however, she removes the monitors from him and takes him, leaving the hospital. She drives and takes him to a diner and eventually to a motel. This is where the video starts, going backwards, ending at the hospital. Presumably the mother could not bear to watch her son die in such a cold place and wanted him surrounded by comfort.
