Outstanding performances by Joe Cocker, his singers and his band to this amazing song all made from Canada : Bryan Adams - Jim Vallance and Diane Warren ( Chorus) ! A special praise to the lead guitarist Aldo Nova (Caporuscio) from Montreal, Quebec.
mi ricordo (nel 1990 credo) ero a Rimini. Lui era al Grand Hotel (naturalmente) successe un casino xchè portò 2 o 3 troie, spaccò un po' di cose, insomma fece una festa delle sue.....
OMG,..I had nearly forgotten how great this man is,..till now. Started lookin at all the vids of Mads Mikkelsen(my fave actor),...and after winding up in several other artists vids, including Bryan Adams,(Everything I do I do for you),..I wound up here.Lol! I love Youtube. (Bryan's version of this isnt as good as this one tho.)
Joe is an original, that's for sure. I've been a fan since Woodstock and Maddogs and he's still my very favorite. I read a biography on him awhile back. His voice is so strong that it permeates the sound proof booth of the recording studios.
I never noticed his fingers move so much. I always knew of the spastic motions, but never realized the digits move so much like his playing an invisible piano....
Buy the live CD from about this time period, it'll knock your freakin' socks off. I saw Joe at Blossom Music Center in Ohio bak then with Stevie Ray Vaugn as an act after him. I still play the crap out of that CD and I crank it up, the hell with the neighbors!! Real MUSIC!!!
He is pretty amazing live. Ever thought of Stevie Ray Vaugh sporting a Jackson Telecaster? There's the vision at 2:44, and even though he's not SRV... he pulls a good solo and sports the look.
@igniter35 Not to sound mean, but just because someone is sporting that hat doesn't mean that he is a Stevie clone. Richie Sambora has been also wearing those style hats for years & years.
funny to see Joe Cocker with all the fancy lights and stage, still having the strange spastic hand movements...that he was known for in days gone by...saw him once in Saginaw, Michigan drunk as a skunk...
@bunyah Why does everyone focus on his damn hand movements? Or such idiosyncratic things of *any* artist? Its naturally what they do when they are moved by their art; each person responds and acts a different way with that. People don't seem to want to realize that fact; people ought to focus more on the art of the artist than their "weirdities". Just my opinion.
@logica10 That is the good thing about older music, back then it was about talent, nowadays studios can make anyone sound like a superstar, and then you go to a concert and they sound like shit.
Pretties love song lyrics maybe ever written...love both Joe and Bryan Adams cover of this song. Thanks LochRaven62 for the post...love your handle...

All you people complaining about a remake. When Joe Cocker remade a song it automatically became the best version.

I'm surprised nobody figured out that the guitarist is none other than Montreals own - Aldo Nova.
