  • @460fordtruckman They hold up just fine depending on how much power you want to make.

  • @460fordtruckman Pretty much. You need to cut a hole in the floor, flatten out the left foot rest, and drill a hole in the fire wall where the clutch cable goes through. It's marked, just need to drill the plate.

  • @460fordtruckman If I remember right you'll have to have a longer drive shaft. I would suggest aluminum. I don't know about the yoke, my TKO came with one.

  • @TheMudDragon With a big enough hammer you can make anything fit. Town cars are huge though. Just gotta get creative and find a place, even if you have to move something. I put my air suspension compressor in the trunk.

  • that thing hooks pretty good, i built a 94 mark VIII, .30 over, everything i could get off of an svt. with a custom mounted kenne bell. could only pull 13.2's out of it, dyno sheet was 490 at tire, 605 on the chassis dyno. but i was spinnin the first 75 to 110 foot of track, "damn indep. rear susp."

  • My dad got one of these, and on the dash, there is a light indicator for the turbo, even tough there isn't one. Was there ever a turbo mark 7, and how easy is it to turbo one?

  • @KyleReidzilla In 1984 and 85 you could get one with a turbo diesel. These are fox bodies, albeit very large fox bodies, but still a fox body, so most standard foxbody turbo kits will work with a little modification. I custom built mine.

  • @KyleReidzilla These were basically Thunderbird's or Cougar's but with Lincoln badges. Might be a carry over from the Turbo Coupe.

  • I had a 91 LSC SE at one time that I was gonna do a similar build to. Unfortunately I had to move on to another project. Your car is a super sleeper which is what I was shooting for. Nice job on the build. What's your best e.t. to date?

  • @jessmeistertc 12.15 @ 115mph I was going to build a motor for it but I've moved on to motocross and bikes instead lol.

  • i had an '87 mark7 5.0 turbo bored .30 over with exhaust and a few other minor upgrades.. was the LSC with leather/velvet int and 2 computers in it.. was my first car in high school, goddamn i miss that car! lol may think about getting another.. was an automatic though, great on teh highway, fucker was fast as hell for how much it weighed..

  • @Omega47 It never had a world class T5.... Always been a Tremec TKO and has lasted since I put it in 30k ago.

  • @hotrodllsc i mean i can understand if money wasnt a problem for you but for those(me) who are on a budget like me maybe $3k max ....just wondering i can always get a couple used thing from craigslist...now the turbo might be a problem i know they arent cheap...maybe ill keep it n/a

  • @jason1160 Even if you go junkyard turbo build, you'll get nickel and dimed to death. Not saying it couldn't be done for under 3k. You just have to get creative with it. My Turbo's, wastegates, and blowoff valves cost 1280 when I bought them from Arizona Turbo, but that was quite a few years ago. That wasn't the bad part, it was all the little crap that was killer.

  • Nitrous. OR, some of my best gains prior to the boost was from exhaust and an electric fan.

  • you just do the standard flipped headers with t3 flanges.you you running for engine management i was just gonna go with msd boost timming retard box.

  • They are cut, flipped, and welded headers with hot pipes bolted on that have the T4 flanges as well as the flanges for the waste gates. Engine management is EMS-Pro stand alone. Gives me much greater control over fuel and timing maps. I'll send you an e-mail with a pic of the engine.

  • Custom twin turbo that we built. The turbo's are T04B's with H3 compressors. Turbonetics Evolution waste gates, Bosch blow off valves.

  • Fuckin insane Lincoln, love it! We just put a blower on a 2000 T/C, nothing like a huge American luxury car planting you in the seat. Great ride!

  • man that launches good. just killed a cobalt ss in my mark vii tonight. problem is it barely wants to get when feathering the gas from a stop and it doesnt like to use most of second gear and 4th/overdrive doesnt want to work? im hoping its the stupid gears and not the tranny. it doesnt spin off the line but once it hits 20 it pulls.

  • With this motor....12.15 @ 115.

    With a motor and trans that can actually hold the power it should get deep in the 10's.

  • Depends on how high you turn them up. I'd suggest a converter and a shift kit though.

  • and do you have a stall? a 2200 stall would make that shit on 350's all day.

  • I converted it to a five speed. Once I actually build a motor I'll probably put a built auto in it with a 3300 stall.

  • I bought them from a guy named Joel Britt at Arizona Turbo. I don't remember how much they were but it wasn't much. The rest of the kit I fabricated.

  • these cars are amazing. i honestly think lincoln was way ahead of their time when they built these luxury/sport cars. i mean i know its not that fast but for a 2 ton car? people dont give it credit. yes im thinking of buying one with full exhaust so im just wondering what a twin turbo kit would do/cost and what exactly i would need.

  • What are you using for launch control?

  • The car runs on an EMS-Pro stand alone EFI (uses megasquirt tuning software) It has a launch control / flat shift feature built into it. I have mine on a button rather than a clutch switch so I can only use the launch control. Since doing that video I've changed the timing to 10° ATDC on the launch to build more boost. It also pops more! =P

  • I built the kit. We estimate it at around 500 WHP with the boost turned up to around 17lbs and race gas. Mid 400's on a street tune.

  • The engine is stock aside from head studs and Fel-pro 8548-PT2 head gaskets. It's on the list of things to do lol.
