  • its supposed to move as you move... that means its aiming at the same point all the time.

  • Yep, this isn't a real L-3 EOtech. Try putting the words AIRSOFT in your video.

  • What's the difference between a red dot and a holographic sight?

  • Great video bro i jus picked up an Eotech 512 at Lincoln Tactical

  • Jesus you guys are so fucking stupid. Do you guys even have any experiences with Eotechs or Aimpoints? The dot does not stay true at closer distances like 25yds, check and see for yourself you tards- there is NO technology that has a absolute true reticle. At distances further than 25yds, there is no paralax or "moving around and not staing on target herp derp".

  • @24Rorschach it stays on "parralax free" ones, cant tell if this model is or not... google it if ur interested.

  • How do those work?

  • That is broken or a fake. Eotechs stay in one fixed point on the target and don't move when you move your point of view.

  • Eotech 512.A65 on sale $390 @ FOSUPERSTOREdotCOM

  • Vyvtvybun

  • it moves as you move but it stays pointed at the EXACT place on the wall if that was a red dot then the dot would point at a different spot on the wall as you move

  • The sight moves so when you you have to pull the gun up quick the dot always shows where the barrel points so you don't have to aim for long

  • The C-more railway is better...

  • This Eotech is legit. Stop posting bullshit comments if you don't know anything about Eotech sights...

  • I wish I had the money to put an Eotech on ALL of my weapons systems. They make iron sights obsolete. E A T M Y D I A R R H E A. . . :-)

  • dude depends on the distance away from the actual scope itself, and the wall / object aiming at.

  • This is 100% an Eotech. Anyone who thinks otherwise is retarded, has never used one, and therefore should not comment stating otherwise.

  • That is an EOTech, but i'd like to see the 400 somthing dollars you spent AND the day it took to mount it.

  • @SecondCocacola I mounted mine in 3 minutes. What are you talking about? Picatinny rails are as simple as it gets..

  • @SecondCocacola The day it took to mount it? That is so dumb Im speechless...

  • All Scopes have parallax, because they are set to be accurate at a certain range, the EOTech has does parallax but its very small that you don't notice it, and this happens at less than 10 feet. The questions is, why would you need to use the sight or be pinpoint accurate at 10 ft or less?

  • how's the battery life?

  • @bogartd2nd I have had a set of AA copper tops in mine for over a year now and still work just fine

  • real eo techs are like 400$

  • @juanbandito haha i got my NV 512 for $325 when they were still getting known.

  • Of course EOTechs move. How the fuck else would you aim?

  • In this thread: Idiots think Eotech reticles don't move like in videogames... Morons... go back to Call of Duty.

  • @mikeymike4g63 HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE

  • @Matt08642 RETICLES DONT MOVE. I NEVER SAW IT MOVE IN CALL OF DUTY. HUEHEUEHUEHEUEHUEHUE! I'M A DUMB AIRSOFTER! HUEHEUEHUEHUE!

  • @mikeymike4g63 whooh, Call of Duty is such a good source for proving something like the moving of reticles.... OF COURSE IT MOVES!

  • @mikeymike4g63 yes because COD is fake shit. this is real.

  • ‎"A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle." Who cares whether or not its real. What matters are the hits. End of story.

  • @salezzeni You a A7X Fan? well Gunslinger is a good song

  • nice

  • the reticle is supposed to move when you tilt the rifle so that u can hit shit without having your eye perfectly aligned with the thing. where ever the dot is, your bullets gonna hit

  • aimpoint ftw

  • not good.

  • does anyone know where i can get one of these or one replica for under $50

    in the usa

  • I´ve always wondered how reflex sights work

  • @airsoftpro808 This has not been the case in my experience. At ranges farther than approx. 25 yards, the sight is parallax free. Not so with closer distances.

  • @cqdoan send it in to EOTech so they could take a look at it. it is malfunctioning in a way so please contact us and go to our website. EOTech

  • @cqdoan No this is most def a fake. There is zero parallax on the EOtechs. I met a guy at my local gunstore who bought one from Gander Mountain that turned out to be a fake. Someone returned a Chinese copy and kept the original. That might be your problem. Good Luck man.

  • @cqdoan Leave it up to an airsofter to tell you about your gun optics. They know everything...

  • @mikeymike4g63 You couldn't have said that better. Damn, airsofters are obnoxious. One of my friends was an airsofter and he would always try to compare his airsoft to my gun. Saying his airsoft rifle was more accurate than my gun at 5 yards. Ha

  • @sirkapzalot They're stupid. Hands down just plain fucking morons.

  • @airsoftpro808 lol THANK YOU AIRSOFTPRO808 THE INTERNET IS A SMARTER PLACE NOW - THIS IS TOTALLY A FAKE EOTECH. / sarcasm

  • @airsoftpro808 lol yeah it is, i own 3 and they all do the same thing... mr airsoft. HAHA let me guess you have a fake eotech on your fake m4?

  • @airsoftpro808 lol aiming at the same spot? lol no. it is alaywas moving....atleast at long ranges with me.

  • @airsoftpro808 actually no the reticle moves because it uses HOLOGRAPHIC technology so the HOLOGRAM moves on the glass. DUH

  • @airsoftpro808 have you ever seen a real eotech because the eoctech does that

  • @airsoftpro808 Stick to airsoft, kiddo.

You obviously have very little (if any) experience with real EOTechs, so maybe you should stop acting like you know what you are talking about.

I'm not sure how the EOTech clones on your toy guns work, but real EOTechs are not completely parallax free til about 25yds or so, Aimpoints are not completely parallax free until about 50yds.

  • @airsoftpro808 It does that so if you are hiding behind something all you need is that litle bit of reticle to see and you will be on target if you had a real one, you would know that. air soft shit, what a joke....get yourself a real gun.

  • @airsoftpro808 I wouldn't take advice from someone who has "airsoft" in their name. I doubt you have real-life experience with firearms let-alone weapon sights.

  • it all comes down to personal choice. my opinion is that "c-more" makes the fastest red dot sights in the world. that's probably why 90% of pro shooters use them. it's hard to beat the best.

  • thats so sick

  • holy shit thats badass

  • I hate co witness front sight throws me off so bad

  • pickin mine up today...

  • I dont get it how does it work...

  • holographic sight. the red circle thing is all holographic.

  • @J03ispr0 & sacr3

if your going to be so arrogant with your words make sure your right. you both are completely wrong. may I ask if either of you have an eotech? no? hm have you ever even looked through one? no? thats weird your sure do know a lot about them. let me ask you this,if they did stay in the center, what the hell would be the difference between them and a piece of glass with an x painted on it? Go to a gun store, look through one. after you can join me in making an ass of ppl like you

  • @J03ispr0 & sacr3- You are both absolutely wrong. Eotechs reticule will move as you move. I bought one today, from cabelas, and it moves. It is NOT stationary. If you shift your head. The reticule will follow. And do not try and tell me I bought a "replica" because I can assure you I did not. These holographic sights reticules move. End of story.

  • @sk8rdude1185 actually your wrong. EOTech made this sight 100% paralax free so the dot should be always aimed at the target. they must have scammed you or you got a factory defect. look up paralax free EOTech on youtube and you will know what i mean. go back to Cabelas and let the experts take a look at it. i am sorry for your inconvenience with our sights. EOTech

  • @airsoftpro808

Sorry, but you're wrong. Holo sights are made to move with your eye, keeping the reticle on the target no matter what. Maybe this parallax thing you keep referring to means that the reticle never moves from your eye.

  • @airsoftpro808 It is impossible for the sight to stay on target, unless you somehow find a way to link the two.... The sight MOVES WITH YOUR EYE dumbass.

  • @sk8rdude1185 how much did u pay for it

  • @sk8rdude1185 Yes, of course they will move when you move, but does it stay on target? The reticule will move around the sight lens (depending on what angle you look through it), but it will stay on target with whatever you're aiming at. Parallax free means no matter what angle you look through the sight, the reticule will stay on target.

Thumbs up, so people can learn.

  • @sk8rdude1185 I got a 557 with absolutly no parallex whatsoever. Its the first mpo by eotech with the 3x mag.

  • its a holographic sight not red dot

  • oh ok

  • you got that mixed up dude

  • What is the difference between this and a red dot sight? it seems like works the same.

  • it is a red dot sight.

    Jsut made by Eotech

  • red dot skinny holo fat

  • The eotech is more expensive

  • red dot fight is just a lil red dot this is a red dot w/ a circle around it lol

  • @malachi1616

The red dot on a red dot sight moves as you move, the red dot on the holographic sight always stays centered.

  • Wrong. An Aimpoint (red dot) and EOTech (holo) both "move as you move". I own a Aimpoint CompM3 and a EOTech 517. You obviously don't have experience with either, or the principle on how optics like these work, dot movement, etc. Also, take note, a parallax free optic will keep the reticle on target, but obviously you will see what appears to be "movement" as your orientation behind the sight shifts around. As someone said, if it remained stationary, it would basically be a red dot painted on.

  • Damn thats pretty bad ass

  • wonderful invention! so much better than a normal scope^^

  • you cant really compare the two, each has their own purpose

  • ok, the normal scope is good if you want to zoom in! but reddots are perfect for cqb! and you can use them outside too, because you can see much more

  • That eotech isn't a red dot, its a holographic sight. Not all scopes have magnification and some provide a much wider view than that eotech.

I'm a big fan of red dots and quality scopes but I wouldn't mount an eotech anytime soon, there are far too many reliability issues, its just not something I would trust my life on.

  • dont need to aim in cqb :P

  • selling Hurricane EoTech 552 brand new. PM or email if interested. WIll provide pics, and price is negotiable

  • I got one of those for $20

  • Mmm....sure you did.

I want one of these for my AR-15 so bad, but they're pretty expensive. All I need is an EOTech and my AR will be done.

Nasserthepalestinian: You don't need to line up the red dot with the front sight. It should line up automatically when the rifle is resting/sitting straight, but notice how when he moves his point of view in the sight the dot moves on the screen? Thats because of the angle. Just put the dot where you want the bullet to go, front sight isnt even needed

  • Look on Ebay. I just picked up a 517 for $385. They usually go for like $470 or something. I think the guy I got mine from has the 512 for $350 and 511 for $335. I don't think you can find a better price for the real thing.

    Guys name was "macknlou".

  • lol daedal, thats a good price... was there a "made in china" sticker on it?

  • negative, it's legit. the seller still offers them, take a look for yourself.

  • how the f did u do that

  • airsoft.......

  • i dont get it, so what do you do to aim acurately? aim the align the red dot with the iron sight? or use the the red dot on its own?

  • You use it on it's own. The dot and ring hold target regardless of where you're head moved. That's the advantage of the holo sight. If he was aiming at a target down range a little it would make a much better demonstration.

  • i would perfer this or the acog sight

  • just installed a 512 on my stag model 2. and bought a Mako X3 magnefier. works great and it cost $115. compared to like $500. great combo

  • hows the durability on those makos?

  • Comment removed

  • how the heck does that thing work???

  • LASERS, they reflect a laser off of a curved piece of glass into your eye.

  • Ill make a video showing it in a game.

  • 512-788-7059

  • Aiming correction only happens in your playstation.

  • I think you mean parralax free, I get what u r trying to say.

  • After zeroing the sight you don't need to have it be directly center when you fire. This is a reflexive fire sight. All you need to do is put the center of the reticle on target and squeeze the trigger. So it will look like it is moving. That is from you eye though not the sight.

  • Yeah, its so nice.

For instance you walk with your gun, not aiming, then a target pops up, you just bring your gun up and press the trigger, So nice in shoot targets.

  • Is this a fake? Why is the reticle moving on the wall when you move around the sight? Are you moving the rifle at the same time?

    Have fun,

    J

  • Real. Not moving the rifle.

  • actually it is moving, and no it isn't fake. parallax is normal when your target is 2 inches from the muzzle (wall).. if your target is 50 feet away,.. that reticle is solid,.. which is why people love eotechs

  • The reticle is actually still pointed dead center, only we see it as moving.

It's called parallax. Something you won't find in video games.

  • Hmm. Well, I do a lot of shooting but I don't play video games. I was under the impression that the Eotech was a paralax free optic. My 512 came in the mail a couple of days ago and the first thing I did (thinking back to this video) was to set it on the table and sure enough it moves around quite a bit when the wall is pretty close. Can't wait to take the M4 out later today and give it a try at 30-100 yds.

But seriously the video game comment was pretty good. ;)

  • it is parallax free.

  • Well hell I just don't know. I only have 180rds through my AR since I mounted the 512. All that I really know is that it is a lot of fun and I look forward to years of service.

One thing that suprised me is that it only carries a 2 year warranty. I figured on at least 3-5. No matter. It's not like I use my rifle in battle. Im sure it will hold up A-OK against the zombies.

  • Parallax is used very often in video games...

  • The only time i've ever really seen it simulated properly was with the Track IR enabled simulator games. Basically you wear a hat or headphones that an IR camera mounted on your monitor can track - thus it's able to get the game to do exactly what this guys eotech is doing. I've yet to see a shooting game do it right, but do a search on youtube for FSX with Track IR and you'll probably see a good example.

These Eotech's - they do have to be zero'd right? how close can you set the range?

  • Cod4,Battlefield2,Project Reality simulate it well.

  • Ehh, not really. I know what your getting at but there's only so far you can go with static animation cycles. Arrma could pull it off if they wanted to, but afaik they opted not to

  • not really, COD 4 had it as a stationary image in the gunsight (go check it, I just did)... and project reality I don't know.

  • Comment removed

  • @JonJon95GT i think it does thatbcus at long ranges it moves so u dont have to be aiming dead centre to it wsith your head, it might give you a little room to move ;)

  • @NIKers96 I don't know man ive ran a couple of thousand rounds with mine now and I don't notice it/it doesn't bother me at all.

  • @JonJon95GT cool, as long as you confy with your rifle, thats all that matters as your lining up your target, + what rifle do you have or what weapon ???? :)

  • @NIKers96 The EoTech is on my AR15. It is just a regular Charles Daly M4 carbine with the Magpul MOE plastics and a crappy BUIS. I like it, it is very reliable and fun even with junk ammo. I like having people shoot it that don't shoot all that often. The EoTech makes everyone good enough to clank some steel.

  • @JonJon95GT cool, :)

  • why is there numbers like 512, 552, 551 and 553?

  • mainly the model # describes the batteries it uses, but also if it is night vision capable.

  • a real Eotech or a chinese replica?

  • I just put one of these on my M4.

Drastic improvement over the Aimpoint that was on it. If only my arms NCO would give me an ACOG...

  • cool got 1 on my 20ga good 4 duck

  • I don't understand why people can not get that after you sight it in, it doesn't matter where the reticule is, point and shoot. It will hit where the reticule is no matter if it is in the top right corner or the middle.

  • i donty get how eotechs work...doesnt have 2 b lined up 2 shoot straight

  • with any scope or sight, it has to be lined up but after tuning this sights rectile with the up/down buttons, it makes it a lot easier to line it up

  • The up and down buttons adjust the brightness settings, not the point of impact.

  • i knew that... its the little knobs on the side. the problem is, on the replicas, they put in little springs. those springs stop the adjustment of the sight. you have to take apart the eotech and take out those springs. then you can adjust it.

  • There are no knobs on the side of a 512. And what is this about replicas?

  • whoops thought this one was a replica. either way, there are little knobs with slits in them. the slits are there so you can turn the with a screwdriver or other tool. i call them knobs but they are more like screws

  • yeah, mate your right, it has two little screws on the left side, to ajust the reticule. they other guy is just desperately trying not to look like a complete youtube noob.

  • its good to have some one back you up on youtube other than all these assholes

  • that is an xpensive scope 372 $ :S

  • Weird

  • i really need help from you guys that have this sight i bought this but i cant make the reticle line up with the front iron sight (m4) and the adjustment wont do anything.does anyone else have this or any suggestions.

  • uh is your rail bent? or maybe you mounted it wrong.

  • no...the rails strait no it doenst matter how many times i mount it its reticle is still off.

  • what is off about it? perhaps you should return the sight to EOtech? and is it a real eotech or a clone?

  • its a clone when i say off its off the front iron sight (m4) its too high and it wont come down

  • if other optics work, and you're sure you are installing it correctly, it's probably fucked because you cheaped out and bought a clone. remember: buy cheap, buy twice!

  • you arent supose to lign it up with the front scope or else it will be off just sight it until its perfect if ya set it up wtih the front of the gun it will be way off dumbass

  • wwooaahhhh

  • They'll almost work like the real thing, until you put them on a real gun. They do have some parallax, and don't have the circuitry protection, recoil protection, mounting quality, adjustment, or night-vision capabilities. Granted, not all of the EO Techs are NV compatible, but all the rest of them are backed up by a company that makes optics for rifles, and not for toys.

Hell, if you're not going to shoot it much, the sight from a Nerf Longshot, I think, will work just fine, as well.

  • hey, can i use that for baseball?

  • It is..

  • See the thing is the dot isn't moving, the shooters head or camera is. If you look at all EOtechs and other good red dot sights you'll see the same thing too,

    ..::MIKE::..

  • i tkae back what i said i think the problem is his camera, look at other eotech vids,

    ..::MIKE::..

  • maybe something wrong with that scope haha

  • This is an Eotech. How much experience do you have with them? Have you seen my other videos where I actually shoot the carbine?

  • That is definity an EOTech 512 I have one myself.

  • its a good sight, just got mine on my duty M4 carbine, under stress both eyes will stay open, this sight allows you to use both eyes, very good for close quarters

  • How much does one of those cost?

  • This modelis the 512. It should be less than $350.
