india has launched its indigenous LCA (not bad for a start coz its the lightest supper sonic with most of its body made with advanced composites better than jf17 in any aspect)

The LCA has inferior range compared to the JF-17 and unlike the LCA, the JF-17 is fully indigenous, where as the LCA is just an indian airframe with foreign engines electronics and radar. However the indian military is more transparent than china, you know what they do at all times. Our governmeent (China) never really tells us what they're up to...

@MikiBharat Are you stupid? The J-15 is not a copy of the SU-30 MKI, if anything it uses the airframe of the SU-33 which is a carrier based flanker. The MKI is just an upgrade of the regular SU-30. If I use your method of determining planes purely by appearrancce then I could say the SU-33 is a copy of the MKI.

Hell, I could even say the other flankers are also copies of the MKI.

It fulfills more the role like the F/A-18 Superhornet strike fighter, than the purely air-superiority role of the original Su-33.

Advanced avionics and modern chinese active radar missiles and anti-shipping munitions are the key-parts which keeps the J-15 apart from the basic Su-33.

I wish the russians would do something like this too (ie. updating the Su-33), instead of going for the MiG-29 for their carrier aviation...

J-15 is far better than your SU-33

1. It has AESA radar

2. Far better avonics

3. Better engine, larger thrust.

4. Better airframe, with more composite material.

5. Much better weapon systems!!

For those who say that this is a "copy", it shows how little you know about aviation or this aircraft.

If you know anything about military aircraft, you would know that looks itself means almost nothing.

The J-15 uses completely new Chinese-developed technology, even the engines and the RAM coating. The only non-Chinese component is the Su-33 airframe. Besides that, all the main and important components are Chinese-developed. It's pretty much a Chinese fighter in a Russian skin.

most j-10 are still flying with Russian AL-31 engline, JH-7a engine is also not Chinese made,..J-20's engine is unknown, hopefully it is really ws-15 or ws-10 variant....the reason why i brought this up is to remind our own people that we started our aviation industry 100 years later than the west....it is already incredible that we have reached such a point... i am proud to see J-20 and J-10b, when is see j-11b, su 30 or su27, h-6...J-15 that really piss me off, why cant we desgin our own skin

First of all, the airframe has been extensively upgraded by PLA. It has incorporated composites, RAM, making it 700 kg lighter than any Flanker airframe and eight times stealthier than the Su-30MKI. Why waste time when you can simply use proven ones? The fact that the airframe is based on a Russian one does not mean the aircraft is not 100% indigenous.
