5 days = 5 * 24 hours = 120 hours. So divide 120 hours by 45 to get how much each second/frame took. You will get 2 hours and 40 minutes. This gives you a rough idea of the time interval since it is unlikely that he filmed exactly 5 days to the second. If he filmed for 4 days, 16 hours, and 30 minutes it means he took a frame capture every 2.5 hours.

So try a 2 hours and 30 minute interval.

ah, but one frame a second is really jerky. try 20 frames a second(more or less what most films use)

that means 8 minute intervals......
