You know, you can tell a Jun Ishikawa song, regardless of what franchise it is from, just from listening to it. They tend to have this certain flair about them that is hard to explain.
absolutely, though i feel this way about a great many video game musicians - they all have compositional voices. I think Ishikawa's is pretty strong though. there's certain things he does very often, that I don't hear any other composer do. certain chord progressions, arpeggiations, those sorts of things.
