Very First Computer Build Amd Phenom 550 BE

my first Phenom x3 didn´t unlock aswell so i gave it back to the retailer. one week later i ordered it again and this one is running at 4 cores since more than 6 month^^ ;)

thats what i said, mine did not unlock because not every phenom 55o is made as a quad its only when they have a surplus of quad cored and they just disable the other 2

yes u can unlock the cou with this mobo but my cpu was made as a dual core so there was only 2 cores nothing to unlock but i would get the 555 i herd all of em unlock

yes and i have stated that but not every patch of phenoms 550 are made as quadcores its only when amd mades a surplus of quads and just turn them into dual cores. so i was unlucky and got one made as a dual core

i dont like ati, thts the problem. their cards just seem rushed a bit, plus i had a problem with one of their other cards. i havent had any problems with nvidia. thanks for the suggestion though

every card io have every had was ati and they work flawlessly, maby u just got a bad card. but i can tell u this ati cards use better memory and the quality of the card it self is better. now i agree that some nvidia cards are better than ati but the quality is not there.

nice looking case ive been looking at getting this for quite awhile but need some honest opinion on what you did and didnt like about it and esspecially its cooling performance i will be using a corair h50 to cool my i7920 and the design of the cpu cooler suck cool air from outside the case and pumps it inside where the exaust fans remove the heat from the case otherwize i like this better than the haf922 i was going to get let me know what you think

well for the price there are no downsides to this case hell even a lot of 200 dollar cases dont have the features of this case, i highly recommend it its the best case i have seen it plan simple yet it has tons of features, the is 1 downside to it its a little heavy but not to bad

ohh and the cooling is very good the fans usually run at 1600 rpms, i only have 2 fans a front 140mm and a back 120mm everything keeps cool in my case, i have my phenom 2 550 clocked to 3.8ghz it ideals at 28c and maxs at 49c. if u have not bought ur h20 i would highly recommend the coolermaster 520n or the noctua u12p

man h50 can be put with pulling air out (2 fans) if there is a fan in front of it to give it air form outsaid so :D

hey man nice comp and love the case ( i just orderd one xD) but was there a hole for the 4/8 pin cpu power connecter up top of the mobo ?

LOL yeah i got the case ( same day delivery is awsome!) and it was fukcing hard to get the 8 pin thru the hole ,i was there for like 10 minutes lol ,but it got thru xD

i agree some modualr psu are very bad for example the coolmax cug 950b is one of them thats y i got the 700 its runs really well

Nice set up! I'm really impressed with the cable management job with this being your first PC build. Mine had wires all over the place (granted it wasn't a modular PSU but still. I recently cleaned mine up a bit but it still doesn't look as nice as yours.
