which processor r u using and which is the best cpu cooler for intel i7 2600k and ASRock Z68 extreme 7 Gen3 motherboard LGA 1155 and i `m going for corsair vengeance ram only for gaming purpose( for other itzy bitzy works too ) case Corsair 600t white
my choices r Zalman CNPS12X 120mm triple fan or thermaltake spin q cooler...
you know like the one where the middle fan is slightly raised up compared to the other one just to fit in corsair vengeance (those with heat spreader)
@Candy2Lolipop It will not fit even if you adjust the fan as the heatsink aluminum fins themselves hit the Corsair Vengeance heat spreaders. Noctua keeps a detailed and up-to-date memory module as well as motherboard compatibility list on their site, just visit noctua.at
@HiTechLegion it fits up to 3 corsair vengeance, I just installed them. But you need to bump the fan up so that the first metal bar is 7 spaces from the top (fan will rise 1-2 cm). Unfortunately I was not wise enough to check compatibility. But it works.
@HiTechLegion Btw, my gtx 570 fits in the first pci-e slot fine (the protruding attachmentes from the fan do not hit) but it seems quite close 2-3 cm from the heatsinks. Will this cause too much heat or is this ok?
@magister213 Yes, but you have to be very careful depending on your video card. Because the fan mounting clips are protruding a few millimeters, it could touch the back of some video cards with some extruded components if the PCI-E slot is too high (like in Quad-SLI motherboards like this one). I used the Matrix GTX 580 Platinum which has a backplate so there also was no issue with the fan clip making contact with the back of the video card.
motherboard is p8z68 pro/gen3 btw

I have the NH-D14 but it's not the SE2011 edition. My question is can I use my version with an LGA 2011 cpu? Thank you

@pepetapia2006 Yes, you can order a free LGA2011 upgrade kit at the Noctua website.

I inverted my exhaust fan the same way. It's quite close to my Megahalems cooler, which doesn't have any fan mounted on it currently.

hi is it possible to just move up the fans on this cooler so that a 8x4gb (corsair vengeance) can fit in? or is it not advisable to do that?

Can you still install a videocard in the first PCI-e slot with NH-D14 installed?
