But I do think it's kind of unfair that you say girls who are between 11 and 13 because I was twelve when I read the books (I'm thirteen now). I love them and I think the move SUCKS!

i was disappointed in the movie. mostly i didnt like the casting. except for charlie, i didnt really think anyone fit. i was expecting all the cullens to be more attractive based on the brazillion times they are described as being perfectly gorgeous in the book.

i actually thought the movie was great seeing that they came up from a little studio and low budget movie. I read the books after and i agree that the movie was rushed and important things were missed. On the other hand, rob pattinson in my honest opinion played edward cullen perfectly.

I went into the movie assuming it wasn't going to be the best because the previews looked a bit hokey. I am well aware that books are generally better than the movie. but even with my low expectations, it disappointed me. I'll see this movie again, but not any time soon. Will I pay for it? def. not. The one in the video on the far right watched it again and said she thought it was decent. I will watch new moon hoping they get it right. p.s. the notebook is splendid.

First of all, you three girls are hilarious! I was laughing through the entire thing. However, I disagree with a lot of your thoughts on the movie. I do agree with some of your points, though. I gave the movie a solid 8 out of 10. It was not perfect...facial expressions tended to be over the top, the pacing could have been slower or a little more focused on romance.

Anyway, thanks for your review, it's always nice to get fresh perspectives.

But if you loved the book you probably won't like the movie but if you haven't read the book you probably say " i love the book" I felt that this movie shouldn't been longer than 2 hours or even put a little more intensity in the 2 hours. well, I'm sorry for the letdown...I actually really liked the movie. I went into the theater with low expectations and was rewarded. The special effects were terrible and some scenes were really rushed. Other than that, it was good. Btw, here is a direct quote from the book. "His skin...literally sparkled, like thousands of tiny diamonds were embedded in the surface...A perfect statue...glittering like crystal." (page 260) The effect wasn't perfect, but it was the best they could do. Oh, well.

I honestly think there was so much laughing(not including the little 11 year olds) that the movie seemed to be a comedy. Half the time I was laughing at just how bad some of the scenes were, like when Edward started glittering. Did anyone else notice the glitter was making noise? Glitter only makes noise in children movies.

LAMO! Really good point about the fact that they did the important scenes badly... I hadn't considered it that way, but it's true. I read a lot about the challenges in making the movie so I let those weight heavily on my expectations and knew what was coming and what would suck. it got to the point where I was able to overlook the cruddy stuff cuz I like the director/screenwriter/main actors as people, and the more I hear about the author the less I like her...
