Foyt is interviewed after Donohue's speed run - he was supposed to race in the Talladega 500 but because it got postponed from August 10 to August 17 he had to go to an Indycar race and Donnie Allison was tabbed to drive the Hoss Ellington #28.
And it wouldn't have surprised me if Foyt had input on the decision to put Donnie in the car. remember that Donnie allison drove one of Foyt's cars at Indy in both 1970 and '71, never finishing worse than sixth, and they shared the Wood Brothers' car in 1971, with each winning in it. Foyt won at Ontario and Atlanta, while Allison scored the first of four consecutive wins for the Wood Brothers in the spring race, the Winston 500, in 1971. [David Pearson scored the other three.]
190+ MPH in those old-school, squared-off, unrestricted chariots? racing was gettin´ real crazy back in those days for sure.....

I was wondering if there are still doing road races at the Talladega track and infield.

It's sad, because Donohue died a few days later practising for the F1 Austrian GP... RIP Mark, RIP Tiny Lund.

@TheAntihero6212 It's a Sam Spence track - NFL Films was hired by Car & Track Productions to film these races and provide their backing scores.
