I only ask this because I tried downloading a power point file from my email onto my mac and it didn't work...Do I have to install power point and word and all those windows files to my mac or will the pages and keynote files be able to show them?

I have been a windows user since they came out with windows but have never used MAC. I just ordered an iMac 27" and needed this information. I have the Maxtror 500GB exrernal that I am using for iTunes on my PC and wanted to transfer those files to my new iMAc and THEN format the Maxtor to use with both machines. I looked for sometime in YouTube before finding your helpful and simple video. Thanks!

okay so if i download all my songs from limeiwre and then it saves those into a folder in Shared or something, then i drag those songs onto itunes, should i transfer my itunes librrary or should i transfer the folder with the limewire songs/files?

if u have a external hard drive just copy your itunes folder (mine is in 'my documents' under music) to that. then connect it 2 your mac and open itunes. go to file-add folder(i think its called) and go to the external hard drive and click on the itunes folder. it will all show up and organize its self. :D

easiest thing to do: get it on the external drive, put itunes folders and stuff on desktop, then open itunes, and drag the folder in. it automatically does everything.. hope i helped
