Sports Medicine Doctors! I am calling you out. You need to put an end to this Witch-Hunt on athletes taking the drugs they are being demonised for when you know the main reason is for the tremendous pain and need to recover from injury.
Who better then u to explain to the Punks in Congress that adrenaline can hide pain during a game but wears off when these guys go home. Thats when they need something just so they can function. We the public dont see that. You do and u say nothing.

Someone in the Sports Medicine profession should have stood up and made the case for athletes years ago. Educate the public as to why a NFL or even a MLB player has different pharmaceutical needs then a sports reporter or member of Congress.
In wrestling there's little protection because in many ways each guy is a private contractor. So there's little in what would be a Group approach to injury and healthcare that a major league ballplayer would get. So yes, alcohol becomes the easy way.

Then when they get injured and make their living putting their bodies at risk. Steroids can be the difference between being out 2 months or a year.
Not a single owner is questioned on what would be his motivation for a contracted athlete who's injured to return to the active roster asap.
Not a single Team Physician comes forth to defend athletes.
These men are not taking drugs to get high they take them so they can get out of bed! Especially when they age and still have to perform.

I mean we read about Eddie Guerrero's 'past' problems with 'alcohol and pain medicine.' Gee I wonder why? Not a word from any Sports Medicine Doctor in defense of athletes who obviously have different pharmaceutical needs then some wimp in Congress or a newspaper sports dept.
What about those guys who are not making the big money? The cheapest way to kill the pain is the old standard alcohol. Tylenol, motrin or aspirin cant touch this kind of pain but they take a lot of those too.

You know? I am long past tired of hearing about impact athletes who 'have alcohol and drug' problems without hearing any Sports Physician comment on why? Performance Enhancing Drugs? The demonization of athletes by Congress, media and the mis-informed without any word from Physicians who treat athletes?
PAIN is the reason these guys take analgesics. Injury recovery is the reason they take Steroids more then for what they are demonized for. When the game or act is over then comes the Pain

Plus Stressful life and anger all day long... not to forget being away from spiritual events and being far away from the creator of the world.
