okay...so im not saying SEXTING is right...but why is sending pictures of yourself in your bra in panties illegal, but posting pictures on facebook of yourself in tiny bikinis legal?
i took one picture i regret and tho i was NOT naked, it was contrevercial. my bra was visible and i had on an open top and a pair of jeans while pulling on my unwear. i sent it to my bf and now im nervous because i dont know where they might end up...what can i do?
@orange3purple2 na356 is giving you the wrong advice. You do not have to be showing genitalia for the wrong prosecutor to get hold of the case and pursue you. You are correct to be nervous about this. I suggest you talk to the person you sent the photo to. Not only can you get in trouble, so can the receiver. They could be charged with possession of child pornography. You do need to deal with this and I hope that 5 months ago when you posted your concern that you did so.
Sexting: an issue that the justice system is clueless. Filling the offender registry with more so what crimes dilutes the effectiveness. Like streaking, urinating in public, and consensual statutory violations all make these lists a joke that are only used by the most hysterical fear mongers. If we care about actual victims we must look at preventing real criminal sexuality. There are ways of predicting and preventing sex crimes. If you are interested in a rational solution see our channel.
