"hang your washing like you hang your lines" is another they did! think it was the b side to the blue horizon single "its a man down there"
first album i ever bought that anything to do with true british/american blues, bought it when it was first released in a shop in hartlepool called bruce moores! in the old lynne street.
truly one of my all time favorite songs. I discovered Duster by complete accident through the song "trying to paint it in the sky."
Being a lover of the blues, I especially found Duster awesome/interesting because of all the styles of blues he played. Much like myself, he was a lover of all blues. Too bad he died so young and tragically. He was a very talented man.
Duster biographer Martin Celmins likes this track more than any other Duster track. I can understand why. It's a superb, relaxed performance by all. I love the blend of vocals and the blend of Duster's Les Paul with Peter Green's acoustic slide playing.
I agree with some of the other comments: the Blue Horizon double CD is just wonderful - get it while you can!
Beautiful. I haven't heard this in years. Hubs & me used to do our own rendition of it. I always thought it was called "Tell Me Baby" or is that somehting else? Thank you for putting it up.
'Tell me Baby' is another song, also done by Stella Sutton and Duster Bennett. Its 'live' version is on the 'Complete Blue Horizon' double CD release of Duster's recordings.
to Stichtingokapi No need to dust off your albums. You can now get a double CD called THe Complete Blue Horizon Sessions by the much missed Duster. It has 44 tracks including his first 3 albums back to back-Smiling like I'm Happy,Bright Lights Big City and 12 DBs. Its on Columbia 518517 2 5185172000.I got mine off the shelf at HMV in Newcastle upon Tyne but im sure you could order it from any large record store.Ive nearly worn my copy out!
Thanks for that Andria. I saw Duster a number of times in Dublin. I met him too - very intelligent and very unassuming. At the time of his death he was exploring new directions with his music and they were very exciting - I wonder where he would have brought it had he lasted.
Thanks for creating the sparrow's vid to go with this-I remember when "Jumping at Shadows" came out;my best mate John and I -aged 13-trying to work out how to play it!

I have looked on iTunes & it doesn't seem to be on the UK version. Is it the same song?

Good one, Andria - pity there isn't very much of Duster's stuff on YouTube. I went to see him often and they were always good gigs.
