hi. im thinking about going natural in the near future, and so far your the only one with the closest hair type to mine. i dont know how to discribe it. its very VERY thick and wavey. NOT CURLY but small waves. its hard to comb and blow dry with out my hair catching on to the comb or its self very painfully. even if i can learn my hair type that would make me feel more confident about going back to my natural hair.
hey i've been twisting my hair and it is growing but every time i take it down to wash it or comb it my hair sheds a significant amount, but it remains thick and grow is this normal or is there something im not doing right
Thank you for your question. You are not doing anything wrong. Hair should shed between 40 - 100 strands a day and this is due to hair cycle which is the way nature made it. If you keep your hair for two weeks or however long, this then becomes 100strands multiplied by the number of days you kept them inside. On the other hand, to avoid breakage of natural hair you have to keep it moisturized constantly. cheers and thanks for your question.
My daughter just turned 3 I just started to blow dry her hair when I wash it. Is that good for her hair? I want to make sure I am using the right products for her hair to let it grow healthy. What is the best thing to use on her scalp? I started using an oil I got from Jamaica "Multivitamin Black Hair Grower" should I stop? I really want her edges to grow, everywhere else is growing but her edges. What is the best product to use for her edges? Thanks in advance for your response.
Just a quick question to find out what you have been doing to her hair to cause the hairline damage. Is her hair natural? If yes, use organic Roots Stimulator olive oil or Carrot oil as they are good and soften the hair for easy maintainance. For hairline recovery, I recommend a hair product called Virgin Hair fertiliser. Depending on where you are based, I could send you some in the post. cheers
When she was born she had a lot of hair but then it fell out. I washed her hair every week and it started to grow back but her edges and nape area are the only parts that are taking long to grow back. They are growing but not as fast as the rest of her hair. I wash her hair every other week now and I only braid her hair but I change up the styles so that I'm not pulling her hair back to much. I will give Virgin Hair Fertiliser a try, will it be too strong for her at this age?
Hi sorry I have been away for so long. Virgin is not too strong for her otherwise there are other ones like Doo Gro but look for the one with the pink hair strand. If you are based in the UK, be careful the shop you buy from as most shops tend to clone products and its not what's on the box that is in the box. Please keep her hair constantly moisturised, let her drink lots of water, healthy foods like vegetable and fruits. Do not worry, she will be fine as she is only very young.
@worldofbraiding Her hair is natural. She was born with a lot of hair but it fell out. I gave her a trim to even out everything, washed it every week and it started to grow back real fast. It's just her edges and nape area that are coming in slowly. I braid her hair but not to tight and that usually last a week to 2 wks. I wash her hair every other week now too. I will give Virgin Hair Fertilizer a try, will it be to strong for her at such a young age?
