This is the first Venza review that actually shows someone entering the car. I have bad knees and want something I can just "slide" into without killing them trying to get out. Thanks for showing how high the seat is in relation to a person entering (which most reviews don't).
@yummy1234098 The only part that is even similar to ford is the headlights that go down into turn signals. And Fords is boxy as hell, but Toyotas is sweeping. And Toyota's sweep at the top of the grille is not on the ford, nor is the 3 bar grille that has slits in them, ect, ect.
UMMM Toyota IS NOT copying ford. Toyota had first with the Lexus ES350 Ultra Package. Ford is just now getting it Hello. Mercedes Benz had it for a while!
Some more bullshit. Yeah Toyota make good cars......but they have too many. They doing their best GM impression. Think LandCruiser, Sequoia, Venza, Highlander, 4Runner, Rav4, Matrix. I mean some of these SUVs are redundant.
inner door trims are hard plastic.. I'm just worried after few years of abuse it will rattle like cheap stereo... and door shut doesn't seem solid.. I have take test drive but I was disappointed touch of hard plastic interior parts..
it's the same concept - make a raised wagon version of the midsized sedan. venza is to camry what outback is to legacy. subaru just executes the concept in a cooler way. plus the venza (and camry) need to lose a few pounds.
lose a few pounds? what, are you racing these cars? i guess i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you want lighter cars for better gas mileage, and i that case it would take substantial weight decrease to effect mileage, and even so, your driving habits effect your mileage more than the cars weight. and i'd bet you the venza will out sell the outback any day. toyotas just sell...period.
no, but you gotta admit the new camry/venza are pretty beefy. the outback and legacy are sleeker, better looking, have a better AWD system and don't have the plain vanilla personality of toyota. But that's just my opinion.
honestly, i think the venza is designed to be a family car, much like the outback, but designed more towards urban driving... which i think is more practical because i wouldn't take either into the bush if i was given an option, i'd rather leave that to a jeep. and in all honesty, the majority of buyers are from cities and won't be taking these vehicles into off-road situations, which makes it a shame the venza leaves most of its options to the v6 awd model.
This car is somewhat the Lexus RX350. That's why it's hot!

Bottom line, Toyota's getting kind of ridiculous with the amount of SUVs they make. It's just getting redundant now, not to mention annoying.

LandCruiser, Sequoia, Highlander, Venza, 4Runner, Rav4, Matrix. lota Suvs maybe too many?

I guess that's what happens with all car companies nowadays.

Why don't they just call it a Station Wagon ?
chipper0059 2 years ago
Why doesn't anyone recognize this as an OUTBACK RIPOFF!
roguetrip99 2 years ago
because it's not...it's better than an outback. plus, toyota owns a good portion of subaru now, so they can make this without any problems
randomdude10010 2 years ago
wrong. outback is a car for outdoor sports. venza is a soccer mom-mobile
roguetrip99 2 years ago
so if you say the outback is outdoors and the venza is soccer mom, then explain how the venza is a ripoff

And what's wrong with being a fanboy? Subie owners are known for their fierce brand loyalty.

I sat in one yesterday. It does seem easier to get into than a Highlander. I found the interior more attractive than the Avalon.

nice. i'm gonna go buy one now.

akvalues 3 years ago 2
The price of american auto makers sitting on their asses for almost 4 decades and thus fail to give what customers need and want.
tamiasthechipmunk 3 years ago
Are you even aware that some Toyota models were American designed and built?
noodleninjaa 2 years ago
Yes, and to my understanding those plants are doing better job building cars than the Big Three.

19/26 MPH? You have got to be kidding! Where is the hybrid version?
hammonddave 3 years ago
go get the Highlander Hybrid. Almost the same with more Macho looks and probably better off road capability than the Venza.
If u ask me the Venza looks more modern city slicker styling much like the Acura MDX
koukiR32 3 years ago
oh yeah accept you need 13000 more to get a nice highlander hybrid
