Bodies are edible. Very few are going to wash up on shore, they've long since decomposed and been eaten by sea life. It's twice the size of Texas and barely on the surface but all over that area is trash, trash, and more trash that seem to drift there, especially plastic. There's one in the Atlantic, too. This was even before Japan. Also, many are CLUELESS that off the shore of the Atlantic are PCBs. A place off the west coast of Africa are LOADED HEAVY with PCBs.
