  • I passed yesterday first attempt with 3 minors

  • haha pause at 0:08

  • As an instructor who frequently observes tests I have to say this is an invaluable tool when someone hasn't passed. It helps focus any remedial training on the specific causes of the error. Often only the error is focused on not the cause. For example one test I sat in on the pupil had a serious error on left reverse, they believed it was for holding up the bus behind them, in fact it was for forward observation they obstructed a lorry coming the other way. Focussed remedial training saves cash.

  • I passed on my 5th attempt with 1 minor, I had to go up to Blackpool to sit it thou as I was struggling to pass in London. They failed me for such silly things! But hey I have my license n car now so im happy! But the driving test is one of the most nerve racking thing ive done in my life,I dont no what it is,but i was shaking on a few and im not that sort of person either to panic. The video makes a gd point but having a 3rd person there would have added tonns more pressure-happy i went alone :)

  • Extra weight will affect braking and hills.

An observer just adds pressure. Why change it now when it's always been an option. The examiners don't want it either!

The driving test is hard enough already and the best in the world.

It's those who have passed their test that need re educating about the highway code and indicators not being an optional extra. Bring in Educational tests when the picture license expires Inc a theory test!

  • My great aunt passed on her 27th attempt so never give up!

  • I completely disagree. Having an observer will just make you more nervous. Also the biting point for the clutch will be slightly different. I would discourage everybody from that. I passed in my first attempt without any observer, although my friend asked me and i declined clearly.

If you are on your own, you will feel less nervous and more motivated. A friend in the back could make you think "what is he thinking about me".

So simply dont take anyone else in your practical test.

  • Wow, what a great idea! I'm taking my test soon, and I'll definitely consider having an observer...

I'd quite like to have Cecilia in the car observing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

  • Who was that Russell bloke? He was fit!

  • Well Done Russell!!

    Regards,

  • There should be a limit to how many times you can attempt your test. its worrying that people fail it.

Theres no reason to have an observer.
