i just got these yesterday! its surprisingly comfortable, but it does hurt when you take them out to eat and i had to get nine attachments which is annoying

I was not told I would have sharp ceramic protrusions on my teeth (called "attachments") that are every bit as irritating as braces would have been. Plus, the estimate of "4-6 months" turned into 17 months...another fact I didn't learn until I was already cranked back in the chair.

I told my ortho that I did NOT want perfectly straight teeth...I'm nearly 60! I just wanted to correct a simple problem. Invisalign forces you to get perfectly straight teeth, designed by computer.

@thomasb369 They dont force you, thats what they're meant to do is give you as close to perfect as possible, a retainer wont do that and will just fix a simple problem, i found this out by reading up on invisalign before deciding to do it. I believe your orthodontist totally should have told you about the attachments and the time it would take before they started the work on you though! that sucks :(

i hv a deep bite so my invisalign need to be done upper teeth first with 18 trays then start lower teeth approx 25 trays! My upper teeth's 18th tray is needed to be used for 1 yr till lower teeth is done and wait for refinement! YEs, one yr! I don't know how to contact invisalign to explain my situation, how the hell am i going to wear one tray for 1 entire year?? at least give me 5 more 18th tray!! Pls tell me who i can contact plsssssssssss, apart from my doctor, cos shes not helpful!!

i got these given to me after my train track braces, to stop my teeth moving back. they give you a lisp, and although you cant see them from far away, and when i was at school no one noticed, there is a line going round your teeth that is visible. which seems to magically dissapear in this video!

ok i have a favour to ask of anyone who wants to help. i have bad teeth, have had braces before but didn't wear the plate as much as i was supposed to and im left with bad teeth again. if i post a quick video of my teeth can someone tell me in their opinion whether i need this invisalign or not? it saves me like 100 bucks.

Thing is...0:23 is nothing like real life. They seem to just disappear - you can still see them. If not you get a lisp. Amazing what some computer effects do...

Invisalign are extremely comfortable and work well for most bite problems.

@305lamala what you're talking about is retainers, invisalign are aligners - they look similar to retainers but are designed to move your teeth. They're more expensive than fixed braces but are quicker, more effective, and not noticeable, and you get free whitening treatment at the end.

how will they but this invisagline thing on such teeth like at 0:29. That doesn't work, right? In austria we get something, that looks exactly like invisigline (maybe it is invisgline, don't know) AFTER we had normal braces for 1-3 years. and than we get this thing, that the teeth doesn't change back into their old postion. so it is something to fix and not to change the teeth position.

that's only f***ing commercial for these guys who can't get normal braces because they are to expensive.

These actually work if you use them like your suppose to like doesnt take them of or play with them. My teeth where horrible I mean horrible and they straitened my teeth in like 1 year they do work I suggest getting them they hurt way less then regular braces. And yes anyone can get!!!!

Invisalign was a terrible disappointment for me. It could only fix my teeth only so much and that was it. I'm so disappointed! The doctor had to put on BRACES to finish the job and he charged me extra for it. My friends have also had similar experiences where their teeth would not get straight. If I had to do it over again I would have gone for the tooth-colored braces!

i really only want to get these instead of braces because i play trumpet in band and i dont want my ability to play to be ruined by metal braces. my friend got braces and sounded shitty and then took them off 2 years later and again sounded shitty. i dont want that to happen

I have this but it's annoying having to wear them all the time, like at work, because your breath can smell. They also make me lisp on certain words.

It's a lot morfe hard work that you'd think - you have to clean them and put them back in after every meal or even snack. At least with braces you just let them get on with it.

Braces aren't that bad. I had them when I was 12 until I was 14. They take getting used to, but then they don't bother you. Braces are very common. They're nothing to be ashamed of. I've seen adults with braces, and I think they're dead sexy. I'd wreck them. I felt the same way about other kids when I was in Junior High. I would date someone with braces and not just because I wore them. At the end you have perfectly alligned teeth that improve your appearance. Think of them as a cosmetic.

Actually braces dont make people look ungly now. at my school a lot of people have braces they look fine they dont look any different. anyways ive had normal retainers, braces, and invisalign. most of all i hated braces!

At 13 I would go with braces. Braces do more than fix crooked teeth, they also teach you that looks aren't everything. I don't even understand adults who get invisalign. On one hand they hate their teeth enough to want them fixed, but not enough to let people see there willing to fix there teeth? Its like wanting to fix a broken bone, but not wanting to be seen in a cast. The trays are also noticable. But if you want to pretend nobody knows thats cool with me. : P

Since I have worn BOTH braces and invisalign trays I am NOT ignorant dummy.

The trays stink. Period. Biggest pain in the ass ever, just get braces and stop being so vain!
