  • This is one of my favorite songs (and videos and singers) of all time.

  • this is realy good..... i like it ...... ^:^

  • this song would make elevators awsome everywhere, good work;)

  • Beautiful....

  • awesome!

  • I am starting a graphic novel series about a contraband / drug runner Falco-look-a-like named Johnny Midnight, hailing from Brooklyn w/ the accent. Shall I place him in a Miami Vice-esque 1980's Miami Beach / Los Angeles setting w/ fast cars, palm trees, and gorgeous women, or shall I instead place him in a futuristic cyberpunk, tech-noir, dystopian world similar to Blade Runner, Terminator 1, Neuromancer, and the PC game Deus Ex where the world is on the brink of destruction?

  • put him in a little laid back itallian village with a little sister and his parents

  • great concept, that is sooooo tech-noir

  • Protip: don't rely too much on estableshed sci-fi to create a story.

  • @JohnnyMidnight1 omg its been 8 months!! how is the novel goin?

  • Love it, especially the bass-line and voice. Great job!

  • Listened to the song while reading the book. Made it even more trippie. Very cool.

  • its been 4 years since i a made this video and 5 years for the song.made it in such a crude fashion no editing required and made in one take.

  • @facettheneuromacer What did you use to make the visuals?

  • @facettheneuromacer hey, im reallly picky about any form of music performace art etc

    i really like this !!!

  • The sky above the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel..

  • great vid. even though cyberpunk is not that widespread, i really hope it won't become too much of a trend. i mean look these days, everything what's chromatic the people will take it as sth 'cool' even if they don't know absolutly anything about cyberpunk, not to mention, about neuromancer. cyberpunk is art and i'd say a style of life possible [not that kind of simple punk style in which most of them drink theit asses off just cuz it's cool].heh. again, sweet video and great song. great idea

  • I love cyberpunk, there is something about it, the aura and ambience it creates- at least for me. Something desolate, lonely mostly paranoid about it. In a way it is good that it has not become mainstream, as we have not had the commercialisation of the genre. A neuromancer movie is an incredibly BAD idea though. The book stands as a testament for the genre of its TIME. A modern version would imo fail.

  • I advise anyone interested in the genre to read the Sprawl trilogy by Gibson (book). Play the game Deus Ex . Watch the movie, Blade Runner. Watch the anime, Ghost in the Shell. And read the manga BLAME! by Tsutomi Nihei (STUNNING cyberpunk esque architectural artwork). And while you're reading the Sprawl trilogy or BLAME! whack on some ambient like Aphex Twin or Mushroom Lab- really sets the mood. Of course these items are only scratching the surface ^_^ .

  • you almost read my [c] drive:).indeed, deus ex, blade runner, ghost in the shell.now, for music i'd take billy idol's cypunk album, zeromancer and DSI. The sprawl triolgy of Neuromancer it's pure art and it deserves to be read many times. Also, don't forget about movies as Johnny Mnemonic, Tetsuo, Total Recall, etc.And video games such as ONI, Ghost in the shell, System Shock, etc.

  • yea cyberpunk is awesome. I can't wait for when I get my biomods ;)

  • I've been into cyberpunk for a good five years now. It started off when I read Neuromancer, back in 2003. I think the true musical essence of cyberpunk would be EBM or industrial, it has that raw futuristic feel to it that you can't get anywhere else. Also, I love Zeromancer

  • Yeah zeromancer isn't bad.

  • Sure, that sounds cool, and I can then hack your mods and block your access, just joking.

  • Well in Ghost in the Shell it is possible to hack other people, but they have firewalls just like computers do nowadays.

  • True. I wish I could remember where I read this short story, but there was one where people were being hacked, and they were being used like robots to rob banks, hijack planes, take hostages etc. Any ideas?

  • Nope, never heard of it. There are some Ghost episodes like that...

  • it be longs to one of the Ghost in the shell manga. Check amazon or wikipedia to find out which one it is.

  • Indeed, the net is vast and infinite.

  • if the book by the same name becomes a full fledge movie, THIS SONG HAS TO BE IN IT!

  • The movie comes in 2010, starring Hayden Christensen as Case.

  • Which has got to be the most obscene miscasting this world has ever witnessed. I think the casting director should have watched Episode II & III a few more times before making the call.

  • I know what you mean. But don't forget, Case is a man being afraid of feelings. So Christensen's acting shouldn't be a problem anyway to make the character of Case real and cool. I think he has got the right age to play this role and after a proper styling he will look like drug-addict CAse. I'm very sure about that. Hollywood has never made a miscasting in any movies. So they won't lose this time as well.

  • its always a miscast when the actor in question cant act . hes a poor actor with zero charisma.

case might be a shallow 2d character but thats not to say a bad actor could get away with playing him. theres a plethora of average, good looking movie stars that could play case, casting christenson is a sign that the producers are leaning towards commerce and marketing rather than making a faithful reproduction of the 20c's most important SF work. its going to be johnny mnemonic all over again ...

  • Yes, who performs it?

  • This is a great song, who performs it?
